Delhi fuel ban for old vehicles to be reversed?
Delhi Environment Minister Maninder Singh Sirsa has announced a hold on the implementation of the denial of fuel to End-of-Life (EOL) vehicles, until a more conclusive policy can be drafted, one that considers the present condition of the vehicle and its PUC status. Announcing the rollback of their policy (Direction No.89, dated April 23, 2025) that was implemented yesterday (June 2) around the EOL Vehicles, the Delhi Government has said that it will suspend the enactment of and the scrapping of 10 and 15-year-old diesel and petrol vehicles until November 1, 2025.
