Two e-bike riders seriously hurt following Kitchener crash
Two people are in hospital after a crash in Kitchener on Friday.
Waterloo Regional Police and first responders were called to the scene on Manitou Drive, between Wabanaki Drive and Sasada Drive, around 9:30 p.m.
Police said a 22-year-old man from Kitchener had been riding an e-bike in the eastbound bike lane, going the opposite direction, when a 50-year-old Kitchener man on an e-bike going the 'proper' direction approached at the same time, leading to them being hit.
Both riders were sent to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
The area was closed for investigation but had since reopened.
