Tata AutoComp to expand EU footprint with IAC Slovakia acquisition
Tata AutoComp Systems, through its UK-based subsidiary Artifex Interior Systems, has signed a conditional deal to acquire 100 per cent stake in IAC Group (Slovakia) s.r.o., strengthening its presence in Europe's automotive interior systems market . The acquisition, subject to regulatory approvals, will enhance Tata AutoComp's ability to serve global OEMs, expand capabilities, and support its long-term growth plans in the UK and EU. 'This marks a key milestone in our global journey,' said Arvind Goel, vice-chairman, Tata AutoComp. 'IAC Slovakia's strengths in operations and location will bolster our delivery capabilities.' MD & CEO Manoj Kolhatkar added that the deal offers strong synergies with existing operations, promising quicker integration and customer value. Alan Fennelly, CEO of Artifex, said the move 'strengthens expertise and opens new partnership avenues.' Tata AutoComp, part of the Tata Group, continues to scale its international footprint in line with its vision to become a leading global supplier. Tata AutoComp Systems, part of the Tata Group, currently provides products and services to Indian and global automotive OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers in the automotive systems and components space.

Tata AutoComp and Ichikoh to Form JV for Automotive Lighting in India
Pune, 5 August 2025: Tata AutoComp Systems Limited (Tata AutoComp), a leading Indian auto-component manufacturer, has announced plans to partner with Japan's Ichikoh Industries Limited in a joint venture aimed at the automotive lighting market in India. The proposed partnership involves the acquisition of Valeo's lighting business in India—Valeo Lighting Systems (VLS), currently operated under Valeo India Private Limited. The acquisition will be executed through a newly formed 50:50 joint venture company (JVC) between Tata AutoComp and Ichikoh Industries. Ichikoh is listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange Prime Market and is 61.2% owned by global automotive supplier Valeo. Tata AutoComp and Skoda Group form JV to manufacture railway components
Tata AutoComp Systems Ltd. and the Czech Republic-based Škoda Group have entered into a strategic joint venture to manufacture advanced railway components in India. The collaboration is aimed at producing propulsion systems, including converters, drives and auxiliary converters, catering to regional trains, metro systems and light rail vehicles. The manufacturing unit will be set up in India, backed by a multi-million-euro investment. The initiative is designed to support the rapidly growing Indian railway and metro segments, contributing to the government's push for modern public transport solutions. Tata AutoComp, which has an established presence in EV components, sees this partnership as a way to expand its footprint in the railway and metro sector while bringing sustainable, high-tech mobility solutions to market.
