Woman robs gas station with help from her children: MPD

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Police have arrested and charged a woman with robbing the same gas station twice, once with the help of her own juvenile children. The Memphis Police Department responded to the first robbery on April 7 around 9 p.m. A man and woman arrived at the Mapco gas station at 1781 Kirby Parkway and used an 'unknown instrument' to unlock the door and force entry into the business. Police say they then robbed the gas station at gunpoint, fleeing the scene with cash from the register in a gray Ford Fusion driven by a third person. 'That was my heart': Man says brother shot in cold blood by longtime neighbor On May 12, around 5:15 a.m., a woman, a male juvenile, and a female juvenile arrived at that same Mapco gas station in a gray Ford Fusion. Reports say the young girl went behind the counter and took tobacco products from the shelves. When the employee confronted the girl, the adult female suspect allegedly pointed a gun at the clerk and told him not to move. The three suspects left the business with tobacco products and cash. Christina Williamson, 37, was identified as the woman involved in both robberies. Brandon Black, 19, was identified as a suspect in the April robbery. Police say the juveniles involved in the second robbery were Williamson's children, and they were acting under her direction. Williamson was charged with two counts of Aggravated Robbery and two counts of Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor. Black was charged with one count of Aggravated Robbery. The MPD says he already had a warrant for the same charge when he was arrested. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved.
