Jimin And Jungkook Share Update On BTS' 2026 Album: ‘We Are All Working Hard'
Last Updated: The two hosted yet another Weverse livestream and shared details on their whereabouts. Another day, another Weverse livestream, and our favourite duo, BTS' Jimin and Jungkook, shared updates on what they have been up to these days. The two, who were discharged from the military on June 11 after completing their mandatory services, are currently in the US. As part of the group's special songwriting camp schedule, all members would be in the country for the next couple of months. Jimin and Jungkook, who are lovingly called 'Jikook' by their fans, hosted the live on Monday, July 14. During which, they gave their fans a peek into their camaraderie and shared updates on BTS' brand-new album. At one point in the livestream, the duo even embraced each other in a warm hug, followed by their cute giggles. ARMYs couldn't stop gushing over their adorable bond, with one even saying, 'Oh em gee this is too much for my heart." While interacting with the fans, Jimin also revealed that he went on a shopping spree with BTS' leader Kim Namjoon, aka RM, and Min Yoongi, lovingly called Suga. Jungkook cut him off and shared that he, too, wanted to go shopping. However, Jimin hilariously added that his two bandmates did not buy anything and he 'came out holding three bags of stuff." Further in the livestream, Jimin and Jungkook gave fans an update on their preparations for their new album, which they announced in a previous Weverse live. He said, 'We're all working hard, working hard on preparations! To put it simply, we're on fire." Reportedly, BTS will be in Los Angeles for over two months to work on their upcoming album with international producers. Scheduled to be released between March and May 2026, this would be their first full album in six years, since Map of the Soul: 7 in 2020. While RM, Suga, Jimin, and Jungkook are already in the US, Jin, J-Hope, and V will soon join them after completing their solo commitments. Following the release of their new music, BTS will also embark on their much-awaited world tour sometime next year. BTS Members Jet Off To The US After Announcing Album, World Tour
RM departed for Los Angeles on Sunday, with Suga, Jimin, and Jungkook following a day later. BTS has finally confirmed their comeback plans, and the excitement among their fans is at an all-time high. Just a few days back, all seven members, RM, Jin, J-Hope, Suga, Jimin, V and Jungkook, appeared together on a Weverse live for the first time since 2022. During the session, the K-pop supergroup revealed their plans for a new group album and their highly anticipated world tour. Both are scheduled for 2026. To embark on their album-making journey once again, BTS is reportedly heading to the US for a special songwriting camp. On Sunday, July 6, the group's leader, RM, aka Kim Namjoon, flew to Los Angeles to begin preparations. The next day, Suga, Jimin and Jungkook joined him. V, aka Kim Taehyung, is still in Paris, wrapping up his schedule for Celine at the Paris Fashion Week. He will directly join the team afterwards. Meanwhile, J-Hope and Jin will complete their remaining solo schedules before joining the rest of the team in the US. According to the Korean media outlet Dispatch, the seven members are unlikely to return to South Korea anytime soon. They plan to stay in the US for at least two months while working with international producers on their new music. BTS would be releasing a new full-length album, whose theme, music, and direction are all personally planned by the septet. It is scheduled for release in Spring 2026, between March and May. The creative process is reportedly set to begin in the US, and the group may move around to draw inspiration from artists worldwide. If all goes as planned, this would be their first full album in six years, since Map of the Soul: 7 in 2020, which was a follow-up to their 2019 extended play Map of the Soul: Persona.
