A batch of 25 girl students of PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya -2 in the Military Cantonment area celebrated Raksha Bandhan with Agniveers, soldiers and officers at the Maratha Light Infantry Regimental Centre in Belagavi on Friday.
The students, accompanied by their teachers, visited the Maratha Light Infantry Regimental Centre. They expressed their heartfelt gratitude and respect towards the brave soldiers and Agniveers of the Indian Army for their service to the nation.
The students tied handcrafted rakhis on the wrists of soldiers, offered sweets and conveyed their love and admiration for the armed forces. The atmosphere was filled with emotion and patriotism as slogans like Vande Mataram and Jai Hind echoed through the regiment's premises.
School principal Mahendra Kalra said that this initiative was meant to instill a sense of respect, discipline and patriotism in students, while also connecting them emotionally with the protectors of the nation.
'Raksha Bandhan is not just a festival of siblings but also a symbol of emotional bonding with those who protect us selflessly,' he remarked.
