Woman, 89, hospitalised after serious crash on busy road
A motorcyclist and an 89-year-old woman have been taken to hospital with serious injuries after a serious crash.
Those driving along the Marchwood Bypass on Friday, August 15, were hit by long delays that saw traffic build near Stapleton Lane.
An eyewitness reported seeing both the fire service and ambulance service in attendance at the scene following the incident.
A spokesperson for Hampshire Constabulary has confirmed that the two people involved in the crash are in hospital with serious injuries.

The spokesperson said: "Police were called at 9.30pm on Friday, August 15 to reports of a collision on the Marchwood Bypass. "The collision involved two vehicles; a Nissan and a Lexmoto motorcycle. "The passenger of the Nissan, an 89-year-old woman, and the motorcyclist, a 24-year-old man, suffered serious injuries and were taken to hospital for treatment."
The incident resulted in long delays for drivers.
