Sunny, still breezy for Ash Wednesday
NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – Highs in the mid 60s this afternoon after yesterday's cold front brought in stormy weather on Mardi Gras Day. Winds still remain breezy throughout the afternoon. A massive wind advisory is issued across the central and eastern U.S.
Forecast remains quiet until this weekend.
Thursday – Dry and sunny, 65 degrees
Friday – Partly cloudy, 77 degrees
Saturday we have another front passing through that will bring widespread chances for showers and thunderstorms. A few showers sneak into Sunday's forecast, but otherwise, Sunday is drier and cooler with highs in the low 60s for parades that were rescheduled during Mardi Gras season. Both Barkus and Mardi Paws start at 2 p.m.
