Last Updated: While Saif Ali Khan acknowledged that acting is a competitive field, it is the film that holds the most value for him. In the ever-evolving world of cinema where artists often find themselves competing against each other, Saif Ali Khan feels happy about his co-star's contribution to the project. While the actor acknowledged that acting is a competitive field, it is the film that holds the most value for him. Saif's latest release was Jewel Thief – The Heist Begins, wherein he shared screen space with Jaideep Ahlawat. In a recent interview, Saif was asked whether there was a competition between the two of them while working on the film. Last Updated: Rani Mukerji is set to reunite with Shah Rukh Khan in Siddharth Anand's action thriller King, where she'll play Suhana Khan's mother in a powerful extended cameo. After the roaring success of Pathaan, Shah Rukh Khan and director Siddharth Anand are reuniting for yet another adrenaline-charged spectacle—King. Backed by Red Chillies Entertainment and Marflix Pictures, the film not only marks SRK's return as a gritty assassin but also launches his daughter, Suhana Khan, on the big screen. And now, adding more firepower to this already explosive ensemble is none other than Rani Mukerji. Sources close to the project reveal that Rani Mukerji will be seen in a pivotal extended cameo in King, reuniting with Shah Rukh Khan on screen after over a decade. Their iconic chemistry in films like Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, and Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna has left an indelible mark on Hindi cinema—and King promises to revive that nostalgia in a new avatar. 'Rani will be playing Suhana Khan's mother in the film, and her role is instrumental to the emotional arc of the story," a source told PinkVilla. 'It's a powerful cameo that serves as the emotional catalyst for the action-thriller." While Rani's appearance will span only about five shoot days, her character's impact will be significant. 'It was a no-brainer. Once she heard the part, Rani was instantly on board. The depth her character brings is crucial to the storyline," the source added. With this latest addition, King now boasts a formidable cast featuring Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan (who plays SRK's nemesis), Anil Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Arshad Warsi, Jaideep Ahlawat, Abhay Verma, and Suhana Khan. The film is set to begin its first schedule in Mumbai starting May 20, followed by a major international shoot in Europe. King is eyeing a theatrical release in the October–December 2026 window and is poised to be one of the biggest cinematic events of the year. Fans can expect Shah Rukh Khan in a never-before-seen avatar—gritty, raw, and emotionally charged, as he squares off against Abhishek Bachchan in a game of shadows, bullets, and buried pasts.
