Music Legend Claps Back at Piers Morgan Over Beyoncé Comments

Music Legend Claps Back at Piers Morgan Over Beyoncé Comments originally appeared on Parade. Dionne Warwick isn't tolerating Piers Morgan's criticism of Beyoncé. After Beyoncé participated in a Marilyn Monroe-inspired ad campaign for Levi's, Morgan accused the singer of "cultural appropriation." "Very disappointed to see Beyoncé culturally appropriate Marilyn Monroe in her new Levi's ad." he wrote on X. The Levi's campaign shows the Cowboy Carter singer styled with platinum blonde curls, winged eyeliner, and red lipstick, channeling Monroe's old Hollywood aesthetic. Some pointed out similarities to Sydney Sweeney's controversial American Eagle ad, which also promotes a pair of classic American blue jeans. Shortly after Morgan's comments, Warwick took to X to defend the pop star. "Getting involved in women's business again, I see…" the music legend wrote. Fans immediately took to the replies to react to Warwick's unexpected defense of Beyoncé "It's giving obsessed" one fan wrote about Morgan alongside a crying emoji, to which Warwick replied, "Correct." "Whack him again" said another commenter. "Dionne we are always living for your Twitter clapback." added a third. Some members of the Beyhive were surprised by Warwick's comment due to her previous criticism of the singer. In 2019, the hitmaker sparked controversy when she said Beyoncé had yet to reach icon status. "I have an admiration for Beyoncé Knowles, Carter now. Watching her growth has been quite refreshing. It's wonderful to see how she's been able to create what and who she wanted to be and who she is… very proud of that, I really am," Warwick told Essence at the time. "Now sustaining and becoming a big icon that Gladys Knight, or Patti LaBelle, or Johnny Mathis, or Frank Sinatra, or Sammy Davis Jr. is? I doubt that," Warwick continued. "I love her to death and can appreciate her talent. But that iconic status? It's a long road [ahead]." After her comments went viral, Warwick quickly clarified what she really meant. "It takes a long time to reach and achieve iconic status," Warwick said. "That's not to say that Beyoncé isn't well on her way. She is a gifted performer. That was a reach from Essence." Piers Morgan's '90s Throwback Photo is a Who's Who of Hollywood Heavyweights

Piers Morgan's '90s Throwback Photo is a Who's Who of Hollywood Heavyweights originally appeared on Parade. Piers Morgan is looking back on the heyday of Hollywood. The controversial British talk show host, who recently caused a stir by criticizing Beyonce's Marilyn Monroe-inspired Levi's ad as "cultural appropriation," took to social media to post a throwback photo of himself alongside some of Hollywood's biggest heavyweights. Taken in 1993 when the popular chain restaurant Planet Hollywood opened, the photo shows Morgan bent down to pose for a photo alongside Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Bruce Willis, each wearing Planet Hollywood jackets. (The three were backers of the restaurant chain.) "Wow… someone randomly posted this photo on X today… it was taken in 1993 when Planet Hollywood opened in London and these three guys were the biggest movie action heroes in the world. It's so sad that Bruce is now enduring such a dreadful incurable illness (frontotemporal dementia). Had some fun times with him over the years, a great character as well as a great movie star. As are Sly and Arnie, two of my favourite stars to interview because they're always honest, funny and news-making," Morgan captioned the photo. 🎬 SIGN UP for Parade's Daily newsletter to get the latest pop culture news & celebrity interviews delivered right to your inbox 🎬 No words if Morgan is still tight with that squad. However, one person we assume Morgan won't be hanging out with anytime soon is Stephen Colbert. In a recent tweet, Morgan made it clear that he won't be one of the many hosts lending his support to Colbert, whose program, The Late Show, was canceled. 'This is so damning,' Morgan wrote, posting a cover of the New York Post that referred to "The Left Show," a play on Colbert's left-leaning guests. 'Most of America's biggest late-night hosts have become nothing more than hyper-partisan activist hacks for the Democrats — a party that's rarely been more unpopular. No wonder Colbert got canned. More will follow.'Piers Morgan's '90s Throwback Photo is a Who's Who of Hollywood Heavyweights first appeared on Parade on Aug 12, 2025 This story was originally reported by Parade on Aug 12, 2025, where it first appeared. Lisa Rinna Talks Hair Confidence, Experimenting With Styles in Campaign With Bumble and bumble

In another universe, Lisa Rinna would gladly grow her hair long and dye it black à la Demi Moore. In reality, she'd rather not commit; that's what wigs are for anyway. Instead, the 62-year-old actress prefers to keep her trademark spiky, above-the-shoulders cut with lots of layers. 'I've had the same haircut for so many years, I found what works for me,' she told WWD over a phone call. 'It's a lot more fun to experiment.' More from WWD Serena Kerrigan Talks With Neutrogena About New Steamy Romance Series Introducing Almave Humo, Lewis Hamilton's New Non-alcoholic Mezcal Alternative Nike's Wildly Colorful Cactus Plant Flea Market Collaboration Is Coming Soon Short, Anderson .Paak bowl cuts, bombshell Marilyn Monroe-inspired blond, micro bangs, bobs and most recently, Moore's long hair — the 62-year-old actress has, indeed, tested almost every style imaginable, changing in and out of wigs like outfits. 'As an actor, I love to play characters, but when you get to be of a certain age, the acting jobs don't come in as frequently as you might like them to. So, it's been fun for me to express myself and to play these characters,' she explained. As statement-making as these personas are, her natural style is an integral part of her personality. 'My hair is pretty iconic,' Rinna said, referencing the cut and her muddy brown and blond coloring. Yet, she's never partnered with a hair care brand — until now. Announced in July, the former 'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' star is teaming up with the prestige brand Bumble and bumble for her inaugural partnership. 'I believe in working with people that you connect with, and that you have some sort of affinity with. I love the Bumble and bumble products; I have for many years. And so, it felt right to me when they came to me and said, 'We'd love to partner with you,'' Rinna said. Some of her favorite Bumble and bumble products include the Sumo Liquid Wax and Finishing Spray, priced at $37, and the hero product at the center of this campaign, the Hairdresser's Invisible Oil Heat Protectant Leave-In Conditioner Primer, priced at $34. The spray, specifically, has been like a new 'toy' for Rinna to mess around with. She's swapped her classic pomade for the liquid wax, using it to mold sections of her hair, while the primer oil has helped restore moisture and shine to her head after she spontaneously dyed her hair platinum last year. 'At this point, you never think you're going to find new hair products that excite you, especially when you've had the same hairdo for 25 years or more. So, it was really a pleasant surprise, and now I can't live without it,' she said of the hair wax. 'When I went platinum, it trashed my hair, and so I had to use a lot of treatment to get my hair back, and one of them was the primer oil. It's been really great.' The primer oil is powered by Bumble and bumble's Featherlight 6-Oil Blend, which works to add shine, detangle knots and protect against UV rays and heat. According to Bumble and bumble, Rinna's campaign responds to rising consumer demand for multifunctional, simplified hair care products and routines that aren't overpowering or damaging in the long term. Bumble and bumble credits itself as a leader of this movement since its inception in 1977 in New York City. More than that, the brand and Rinna plan to use their union to inspire new beauty standards that encourage creativity and confidence as the reality star models. 'All I can ever do is show by example of what I do,' Rinna said. 'And so I think that if that helps anyone or teaches anybody something or gives somebody an idea to try something different, I'm all for it. I do what I do. So, if it affects somebody positively, I think that's a nice goal.'
