The fate of American journalist and Marine veteran Austin Tice has been unknown for more than a decade. His case has gotten a lot of attention around the world since he was captured in Syria in 2012. Zakka said, "Assad will never, ever give the order to kill an American citizen." He also said that the claim was not true.
