Ravens' Marlon Humphrey posts sentimental tweet on Justin Tucker amid sexual misconduct allegations
Marlon Humphrey's tweet on Justin Tucker's release sparks backlash (Image via: Getty Images) For the first time in over a decade, the Baltimore Ravens are moving on without Justin Tucker but not because of age or decline. The star kicker was released amid sexual misconduct allegations. The news rocked the NFL, but it was Marlon Humphrey's emotional tweet about Tucker that truly lit up social media and sparked immediate backlash. Humphrey's sentimental tweet collides with Tucker's scandal Justin Tucker's release from the Baltimore Ravens marks the abrupt end of a legendary career, one now clouded by serious allegations. The 34-year-old kicker, often labeled the most accurate in NFL history, was let go as the league investigates sexual misconduct claims brought against him. While Tucker has denied the allegations, the Ravens made the difficult choice to move on. Head coach John Harbaugh addressed the situation by calling it 'multi-layered' and 'complicated,' emphasizing the team's responsibility to prepare for the new season. But it was cornerback Marlon Humphrey's personal response that lit a firestorm online. Shortly after Tucker's release, Humphrey posted: 'imma miss Tucker lowkey. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Advanced Strategic Management IIMK ASMP Apply Now Undo Team meetings won't be the same.' While some viewed it as a heartfelt goodbye to a longtime teammate, many fans weren't having it. Replies poured in, labeling the tweet as poorly timed and tone-deaf, given the ongoing sexual misconduct investigation. One user bluntly responded, 'You gotta chill,' while another added, 'Bad tweet unc.' The backlash highlighted the growing tension between team loyalty and public accountability. For some, Humphrey's tweet symbolized the emotional toll of losing a locker room leader. For others, it was a glaring misstep that overlooked the severity of the allegations facing Tucker. W ith Tucker gone, the Ravens are now leaning on a kicking competition between rookie Tyler Loop and undrafted free agent John Hoyland. But filling Tucker's shoes on the field might be easier than replacing his presence off of it. This controversy reveals a deeper issue within professional sports: how players, teams, and fans navigate loyalty in the face of disturbing off-field accusations. The Ravens are trying to move forward, but the emotional and cultural fallout of Tucker's release is far from over. Also Read: Detroit Lions ready to battle NFL's toughest 2025 schedule under Dan Campbell's leadership for NFC North championship As the NFL's investigation progresses, this isn't just about football stats or replacing a kicker. It's about trust, perception, and how quickly a celebrated legacy can unravel under the weight of serious allegations.

Marlon Humphrey continues his social media assault of Ravens rivals
Marlon Humphrey continues his social media assault of Ravens rivals Marlon Humphrey is no stranger to throwing jabs online, and with OTAs underway, he's throwing the gloves on again. Old-school NFL aficionados who'd rather see beefs settled on the field may not have understood Marlon Humphrey had he played in another era. They certainly would have respected his game, though. The Baltimore Ravens star was part of a College Football Playoff National Championship-winning team in 2015. His first eight years at football's highest level produced quite an enviable resume. Humphrey is a four-time Pro Bowler and two-time First-Team All-Pro. He has also mastered the art of psychological warfare. No one throws a verbal jab quite like the talented and sometimes brash Ravens cornerback. Few do a better job of dismantling an opponent before kickoff. Many have fallen victim to a Marlon Humphrey tirade. Recently, he set his sights on the Cincinnati Bengals organization. Marlon Humphrey stirs the pot with a Bengals troll on social media. What a time to be alive. The Cleveland Browns still have no idea what they are doing. The Pittsburgh Steelers are self-destructing, and they don't have a quarterback. The Bengals are suddenly 'the Bungles again. Cincy isn't just doing its best to damage its relationship with its best defensive player beyond repair. They also have yet to sign their first-round draft choice, Shemar Stewart, as he is holding out and sitting out of offseason workouts because of a contract dispute. Stewart's issue isn't money. It's a disagreement over language that Cincinnati attempted to wedge into the deal. It appears the Bengals would like to have the option of voiding guaranteed money if he ever defaults on his contract. The issue lies in that language not being in Ja'Marr Chase's deal or Amarius Mims'. Stewart's representation wants consistency. The Bengals want control. As you might have imagined, Humphrey noticed... When Baltimore announced the signing of rookie Malaki Starks, Marlon captioned that photo by stating, 'Contract wasn't signed but still practicing (hand clap emoji)'. Though that may not seem like much, most caught what he was stating. Starks came to work and trusted that business would take care of itself. Stewart continues to sit because he is unappreciative of how he is being handled. The Ravens' longest-tenured star noticed and pointed it out publicly. That primetime game featuring Baltimore and Cincinnati keeps getting more interesting, doesn't it? Joe Burrow is sick of playing night games at M&T Bank Stadium. Humphrey never gets sick of finding new ways to play mind games with his opponents. The AFC North is going to be a warzone again, and football aficionados everywhere wouldn't have it any other way.
