As MAFSAU's Jamie reveals she no longer speaks to Dave, here's where the cast stand with their exes

Ok, so it's been a few weeks since the final episode of Married at First Sight Australia aired, however, we're still firmly invested in the couples who made it to final vows. Every couple, but Rhi and Jeff, have since split (or broke up during awks final vow ceremonies) and we need to know who is now actually in contact with each other. While we know there's been no romantic reconciliation for any of the couples, (in fact there's actually been some couple swapping) are things so bad they can no longer get on as friends? Well yes, it appears that for the majority of the couples they can't even be in the same room as each other and have said some very shady things about their former other halves. Intrigued to know more? Here's where all the couples from MAFS Australia final vows stand with each other now. Status: Not in contact Raise your hand if you're still getting over Jamie and Dave's breakup, yep us too. The couple were everyone's favourite to begin with but slowly as the experiment continued their connection ended up breaking down with Dave questioning his feelings for Jamie. Even though they ended the experiment together at final vows and agreed to continue dating in the real world, their relationship ended soon after. Since then Jamie has spoken out about the pair no longer being in communication. As the show was airing she spoke to Nine, where she said the pair don't speak, "Unfortunately Dave and I don't speak anymore." And now since getting her Instagram back, she's been doing Q+As with fans, with one asking how she copes with a breakup. She revealed that even though she likes to be friends, ultimately it's easier to go no contact. "I'm that person that wants to be friends with everyone even after the worst situation. At the same time what I've learned is not having contact with that person is the best case scenario," she told her 310,000 followers. Status: Not in contact Boy did these two have a dramatic journey on MAFS Australia. One week they were super in love, and the next they were arguing and threatening to end their relationship with each other. Despite making it to final vows, and choosing to continue outside the experiment, they are now over for good, and it's safe to say very much not on speaking terms. Following the end of the series airing in Australia, Awhina spoke to the Daily Mail Australia where she revealed she had cut ties with Adrian after their split. She spoke in more depth about the split with Nine, where she said while she had initially wanted to stay friends with Adrian, she thought it was better off there not being any communication between the pair. "That friendship didn't serve me at all. It was all for him. I've got a community behind me – I'm grounded, I'm back at work, I'm back with my family, friends, my son, I have this big, beautiful life and empathy for Adrian, but he doesn't even deserve it, so I just I cut myself off from it," she revealed. Status: Friendly Carina and Paul were also another couple who had quite the dramatic journey on the show, that ended with Carina deciding not to carry on their relationship after the series during final vows. In the reunion episode it was clear these two didn't reconcile and weren't in communication. In fact they both had some choice words to say about each other. Paul maintained that Carina was a "snob" and Carina said she felt "there's an ickiness towards Paul in my gut." However, since then Carina has said the pair are friendly and likened their relationship now to co-parenting, despite the pair not having any children. "But at the end of the day, we're civil and we're friends. I wish him all the best, and all I could ask is for him to find the right person that's best for him. You know when you have kids with someone and you're co-parenting and you're just civil? I don't have the kids with him, but we were just essentially co-parenting and fine under the same roof," she said. Status: Not in contact Easily one of the most up and down couples in the experiment it's no surprise to anyone that Jacqui and Ryan are no longer in communication. The couple's relationship ended at final vows with Jacqui riding off into the sunset with other MAFSAU groom Clint, whom she is now engaged to. Since then they are now engaged in a legal battle. Back in March Jacqui claimed she had filed a police complaint against Ryan alleging that he shared "sensitive, private, sexual content" without her consent. A month later The Canberra Times reported Jacqui had been granted an interim restraining order against Ryan. Later that month Ryan then sought an ADVO (Apprehended Domestic Violence Order) against Jacqui. Status: Not in contact Ok so it seems these two are basically the only ones who can be in the same room as each other. The couple got married halfway through the experiment as a later arrival pairing. They initially got on super well, however, as the experiment reached its end Teejay began to doubt the pair's connection. They stopped being intimate and had many tough conversations around where the relationship was going with Beth becoming frustrated at Teejay's reluctance to commit to carrying on their relationship in the outside world. Eventually they split and for awhile the pair didn't talk at all. Teejay attempted to contact Beth many times but she was hurt and ignored his messages. However, she's now revealed the pair are on good terms after they had one final meeting to go over their relationship. "I invited him to my apartment, we had a conversation and I got everything off my chest and that felt really good," she told Nine. "It's quite hard to have a conversation like that, especially when you're so emotional." While the pair don't hang out alone, they both seem happy to be in each other's presence and attend events together, with no bad blood. Married at First Sight Australia is available for catchup

Friends or foes? All the MAFSAU season 12 cast who are still friends – and who's definitely not

If you're anything like us, the most recent series of Married at First Sight Australia left you veritably gagged. While the show wrapped up in the UK at the beginning of May, here at Cosmo UK HQ, we've still been living for the season 12 drama, twists and turns for weeks now. In fact, we think all the after-the-show IG sleuthing, ex-spouse social media shading and unofficial cast reunions may well be almost as good as the actual show itself. Given our interest in the MAFSAU cast post-show, we've gained a serious curiosity about the couples who are still together. But what about the rest of the cast? Who is on good terms, and who seems to be feuding? After scouring post-show interviews, social media interactions, and various shady comments from the cast, we've pulled together our list of who from the cast are still friends and who may not be on good terms. To read more, scroll below! The most recent MAFSAU cohort, thankfully, appear to remain pretty close-knit (apart from a handful of cast members who are on the outs). Here are some of the strongest, and most surprising friendships post-show: While Billy and Dave maybe weren't the luckiest in love during the experiment, they each left with a veritable BFF in one another. While their bromance was obvious on the show, it has blossomed since filming stopped. "Me and Dave are looking at moving in together, we're looking at travelling the world together," said Billy in a video with Nine. "And this is one thing that I'm really, genuinely so happy about. OK, I didn't come out with a partner but I have come out with a best friend and I'm so grateful for that, I feel like I've won." Jeff is also on good terms with Dave, telling Nine: "Dave's in Melbourne, so I speak to him pretty much every day. I see him multiple times a week." Plenty of the girlies from MAFSAU are on good terms. "I see Carina, Beth, Awhina, Jamie, Ash and Katie," Rhi has told Mamma Mia regarding who she keeps in contact with. "We all got together for my birthday, the seven of us. I've stayed in close contact with all of the girls, and even this weekend we had a party with Daily Mail and all the girls were there. It was so lovely to all catch up again." However, we're most interested in the fate of Jamie, Awhina and Beth - three on-screen friends who seriously had each other's backs. Well, their friendship seems to be going strong: they've featured in multiple TikToks together following the show. In a cute moment, Awhina even told the Daily Mail that she "didn't leave with a husband" but, instead, "with a wife" in reference to her friendship with Jamie. In a video with Nine, Eliot also shared that he was on close terms with Jamie! "Jamie's a beautiful person, it's been incredible watching her journey," he said, suggesting a friendship between the two. (FYI, the duo have already quashed dating rumours). Eliot has also filmed TikTok content featuring the likes of Jamie, Beth and Awhina so clearly he gets on with the girls from the experiment. With such a drama-filled season, you can imagine that there may still be some difficult feelings between members of the cast. Here's what they seem to be saying about one another: It appears that Jamie and Carina are no longer close according to comments made by Jamie. 'Carina, I'm sure if there's like a pap photo or something, she might be there, or a girl's reunion, she might be there. But you know, she's not someone who reaches out or checks in or anything like that,' Jamie shared to Pedestrian TV. 'I don't think she's really interested in having friendships with the cast.' Eliot and Dave don't seem to make direct comments about one another in the press. However, Eliot has been making some TikToks which may suggest a level of ill-will towards Dave. In one instance, he shared a TikTok which began with a clip of Dave drinking coconut water. The video then cuts to Eliot and Jamie drinking coconut water together while wearing fluffy robes in bed. Given that Jamie and Dave were an item on MAFSAU, it definitely seems like a bit of a pointed reference... Two brides who don't seem to be on the best of terms? Veronica and Beth. Following the show, Beth was asked in a video if any MAFSAU brides were sliding into other grooms' DMs. 'She's not here… Veronica! I'm sure she's been sliding into every husband's but her own,' she said. Veronica was quick to reply, commenting under the video: 'Do you have receipts or are you just running your mouth? Asking for a friend.'

As MAFSAU's Dave reveals 'love' for another bride, here's the people the cast wished they were matched with

It's been just over a week since Married At First Sight Australia came to an end on E4, but we're still not quite over season 12 - and neither are the cast. Just this week, Dave Hand, who was married to Jamie Marinos, revealed the bride he thinks he would have been "better" matched with. And his answer was very surprising. Responding to a follower on TikTok, who posed the question, Dave said: "I would have to say Fifi, Awhina." But, Dave isn't the only Married at First Sight Australia contestant to suggest he was better suited to someone else. This season, several participants have voiced similar feelings - on and off screen. Read on for a list of all the brides and grooms who wanted to marry someone else on season 12. Dave responded to a fan this week, saying that he would have been better suited to Awhina Rutene, who was married to Adrian Araouzou on the show. On why he thinks they would have been a better match, he gushed about her qualities, saying: "Her caring nature, her gentle soul, she's the GOAT [greatest of all time]. Love Fifi. "I tried my best to look after her in there [the experiment] and every time I saw her, I gave her a big hug. I have lots of respect for her." Dave said that while he hasn't kept in contact with Awhina since filming ended, he wishes her well because she's a "cool chick". This might come as a shock to viewers, as we didn't see much interaction between Dave and Awhina on the show, other than within group settings. Awhina was very close to Dave's bride Jamie, however, so they may have spent a lot of time together off-camera during hangouts with their other halves. In an interview with The Tab, Beth Kelly revealed the groom she would have like to have been matched with on season 12. "The only other person I could see myself with was Billy, just because we've British, because we had that banter," she said, speaking of Billy Belcher who was married to Sierah Swepstone. Beth wasn't very complimentary of the other men on the show, however, adding: "There were a lot of sh*tty men. I feel like every year, they just find men that get worse and worse and worse. "I don't know what it is. I don't know if it's just all men are just cr*p, or if it's just Australian men." During season 12, Beth was matched with Teejay Halkias, but they called it quits before the final vows, as Teejay admitted he didn't feel a deep enough connection with Beth to continue being intimate with her. Eliot Donovan had quite the experience on MAFSAU. He was initially married to Lauren Hall, but ditched her during the honeymoon. He later returned to the show with a new bride, Veronica Cloherty, but things went left soon after Veronica met Lauren who dished all on Eliot, and the couple never really recovered after that. Eliot has spoken about who he thinks he would have been better matched with, and it's Katie Johnstone, who left the experiment after the first Commitment Ceremony following the failure of her marriage to Tim Gromie. Speaking on the MAFS Funny podcast, Eliot opened up about Tim's treatment of Katie, saying: "Tim was a bit weird, we didn't really get along at the bucks party. He wants short, petite and blonde. The way he dealt with it was just brutal. He wouldn't even hug Katie, like she had some deadly virus. I was like dude, give that f***ing girl a hug." He added: "About me being matched with Katie, that's actually something I really love. You know what I loved about Katie? Her parents were so gorgeous, they were really down-to-earth country people that loved her." Eliot said that he reached out to Katie after the experiment to wish her well, but it doesn't sound like anything came of the message, as he's now said to be dating Jamie. After getting his phone back, Adrian took to his Instagram to talk all things MAFS, including details on the bride he wished he was matched with. In a now-deleted Instagram Story, Adrian said that he'd like to have been matched with his backup bride Maxine. Although viewers didn't get to see much of their date, Adrian says he and Maxine actually had "a lot in common." Maxine previously revealed that their date "went well". Speaking to Yahoo, she said: "My date with Adrian went well. I mean, it was pretty scary and unnatural for me to have a camera filming me, but Adrian seemed comfortable with it which helped. "I think they matched us because I said I liked dark features. I don't know anything else [about Adrian] because I haven't watched the show, but living with a stranger for three months, there would've been some butting heads!" While Adrian thinks he would have been better suited to Maxine, his bride thinks otherwise. Responding to a fan, who asked which two people she'd put together, she wrote on her Instagram Story alongside a photo of her and her son: "Adrian and Jacqui period." Jacqui has since clapped back on her own Instagram Story, writing: "I feel sorry for her. And with her son in the picture?" During season 12, Billy joked that he wanted to do a "wife swap" with Adrian, who had gotten close to his wife Sierah. While at a heated dinner party - which saw Awhina confronting Adrian and Sierah about meeting up - Adrian outed Billy, saying: "What about when you called me and said you wanted to do a wife swap?" He then showed the message to the rest of the table, who were in shock. Billy didn't say anything else on this during the rest of the show and quit the series soon after, but since filming has ended, he's been spending lots of time with Awhina, leading fans to think they're more than just friends. Clint Rice didn't actually say he wanted to be matched with another bride while on the show, but during the photo ranking challenging, he told his wife at the time, Lauren, that he'd place Jacqui much higher and found her attractive. This didn't go down too well with Lauren, who told the producers that she thought Jacqui looked "rough". Anyway, Clint and Jacqui are now engaged, so that pretty much says it all. MAFS Australia's Sierah breaks silence on 'people who caused me harm' in damning post amid on-screen fallout

Married at First Sight Australia's Sierah Swepstone claims she was "silenced" in the media during her time on the TV show and called out the people who "caused" her "harm" , in a series of new damning Instagram Story posts shared earlier today (12 May). The cast of Married at First Sight Australia season 12 have had limited access to their social media accounts for the past six months while the show aired in Australia and the UK. However, earlier today, the cast were all given full control of their accounts back. And Sierah wasted no time in taking to her stories to share her MAFS Australia experience. In her first Instagram Story she posted a picture of herself on her wedding day. She captioned it: "What I looked like at the start." She then followed this up with a picture of herself from one of the commitment ceremonies and captioned it: "vs what I looked like five weeks later." Sierah then shared two text posts, written in black and posted on a white background, with the following statement: "For me to look the way I did after just five weeks something had to have happened. Women don't break themselves down like that. I was silenced in the media because the truth was a liability. The people who caused me harm have controlled the narrative for long enough. I will speak soon." She then followed this up with the final statement: "Isolation is a recognised form of psychological abuse. It occurs when a person is deliberately distanced from their support networks - including friends, family, or sources of emotional or social support. "This tactic is often used to increase control, create depending and reduce a persons ability to resist or seek help. In emotionally intense environments, this kind of behaviour can escalate quickly and be easily missed - especially when there's limited outside contact. "Over time, isolation erodes confidence distorts perspective and makes it harder for the victim to recognise or escape the abuse." Cosmopolitan UK has reached to out to E4 and Nine for comment. Sierah was part of the original lineup of MAFS Australia season 12. She was paired with Billy Belcher. Their wedding went down very well and for the early part of the experiment it appeared as if the two were getting on and seemed happy in their marriage. However, as the experiment continued the pair's distance grew. Sierah created a friendship with fellow groom Adrian, which made Billy feel like he couldn't trust Sierah and from there onwards the connection broke down. Sierah also struggled with the couple's lack of intimacy and questioned whether there was a romantic connection between them. The couple ended up leaving halfway through the experiment. Sierah then returned along with the rest of the majority of the cast for the reunion episodes. During the reunion it was revealed Sierah had sent a number of unkind messages to Adrian about his wife/ex-wife Awhina and the rest of the group. Awhina brought the messages up at the dinner party, and Sierah then went onto claim Awhina had said several bad things about Adrian during her time on the show, including that he was "dumb". Sierah went onto leave the dinner party half-way through. MAFS Australia expert delivers hard truth to groom in reunion: "I felt sick in the stomach"

Married at First Sight expert John Aiken slammed the actions of Paul Antoine across the series, saying the groom made him "sick in the stomach". Tonight's episode of the reality show, the final instalment in the 12th season, saw the various cast members congregate for the reunion party, with each party in the experiment updating the experts on their journeys. Paul was partnered with Carina Mirabile during the experiment, with Carina opting to split up during the final vows ceremony following a controversial relationship in which she said Paul had "thrown [her] under the bus" several times. As the pair discussed their relationship with the experts, Paul was told off by Alessandra Rampolla as she said it would be "appreciated" if he didn't interrupt her, with the couple's film shortly being shown after. After Carina noted that the clip "reaffirmed" her decision to separate, Paul was asked about his own feelings, sharing: "I know I've made a few mistakes along the way but Carina has - though not as much as I have - said and done certain things that have made me feel uncomfortable." Related: John promptly interrupted the groom, saying: "Paul, I've had enough. I'm going to tell you the way it is. You have to stop playing the victim. And look at me when I'm talking to you, because I won't have another chance to say this to you straight." "You need to change. I have seen a guy who has consistently broken his partner's trust," he continued, referencing the various incidents - including Paul's violent outburst - which had "betrayed the trust" of his former partner. Related: "Are you hearing me? Any way you look at it, it's bad," added the expert. "I don't like to sit here and see you blaming the other person. Frankly, it made me [feel] sick in the stomach. This must be a wake-up call to you." Paul, who also embarked on a date with another potential match during the experiment, reflected: "I've done some terrible things. As much as it's hard to hear, I need to go away and work on myself and improve." Married at First Sight UK airs on E4 in the UK.
