‘Avoid the area': Fatal crash shuts down Hwy. 401 eastbound at Eglinton Avenue

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) say Highway 401 eastbound remains closed at Eglinton Avenue following a fatal crash early Saturday morning.
Police say a collision between a tractor trailer and a vehicle occurred near Martin Grove Road, leading to a full closure of all eastbound lanes.
The crash was first reported just before 6 a.m.
As of 7 a.m., eastbound express lanes are now closed at Dixie Road due to the ongoing investigation.
The OPP says drivers should 'avoid the area' and plan alternate routes.
'Expect lengthy closure and plan alternate outs,' officials wrote to social media.
