Kusha Kapila Drops Cryptic Note, Says 'Past Doesn't Exist Anymore': 'Don't Attack My...'

Kusha Kapila's post, which she shared on Instagram, has caught everyone's attention. Kusha Kapila has taken to her Instagram Story to share a note about one's past not existing and often being distorted by unreliable memories. While Kusha Kapila is no stranger to sharing motivational messages on Instagram, this particular post has caught everyone's attention. The post read, 'What you have to remember about the past is that it literally DOESN'T exist. It exists ONLY in your mind, your memories. No more real than a daydream is. What you also have to remember is that your memories are most likely not as accurate as you think they are. They are colored by your emotions and how you were feeling, and colored by your memory itself." The post mentioned, Your mind exaggerates some things and totally forgets other things. Someone else who experienced the exact same thing as you most likely remembers it much differently. Memories are NOT accurate and CANNOT be trusted. We gain our sense of self from our memories. We decide who we are because of our memories." 'We write a story about our life and tell ourselves that story to form our sense of self. Because the past doesn't exist anymore, and what you remember happening probably didn't happen the way you remember at all, you can rewrite it. Rewrite the story you tell about yourself to yourself. Rewrite your personal story and rewrite your past, and you rewrite yourself," the post also read. Kusha Kapila has emerged as one of India's most recognisable and influential digital personalities, seamlessly transitioning from internet fame to mainstream success in the entertainment industry. Known for her sharp wit, bold humour, and distinct characters, Kusha carved her niche in the content creation space with her relatable sketches, satirical takes on South Delhi stereotypes, and bold fashion commentary. As her popularity grew, Kusha became a regular face in branded content, talk shows, and panel discussions. Kusha soon expanded her reach into acting, making appearances in web series and films. She has starred in projects like Ghost Stories, Masaba Masaba, Sukhee, and more recently, Thank You for Coming. As a result of being in the public eye, Kusha was also forced to open up about her private life. Kusha Kapila and her husband, Zorawar Singh Ahluwalia, officially announced their separation in June 2023. The public statement, shared on Instagram, noted that the decision was mutual. They emphasised that though it was emotionally challenging, they believed it was the right step at that point. They also mentioned their commitment to co-parenting their beloved dog, Maya. Later, Kusha shared insights into the circumstances surrounding that announcement. In a February 2024 interview, she revealed that she had been 'bullied" into sharing the news publicly due to pressure from a media outlet, which threatened to publish the story unless she confirmed or denied it within two days. After her divorce, she also became embroiled in Arjun Kapoor and Malaika Arora's breakup due to several rumours. Despite facing public scrutiny and online trolling, especially after her personal life became public, she has remained resilient and is taking strides in her career. Masaba Gupta Shares A Genius Hack That Will Keep Your Makeup From Budging All Day

In the ever-evolving world of Indian fashion, fashion designer and actor Masaba Gupta has carved a niche for herself. The designer, entrepreneur, and mother, recently opened up about her take on the idea of beauty and what it means to her. She also shared some hacks that will make your makeup last longer, even when the temperature rises. In an interview with Hindustan Times, Masaba Gupta recently shared her thoughts on what beauty means to her, particularly after becoming a mother. Masaba Gupta On What Beauty Means To Her Masaba Gupta shared, "Beauty to me is a form of self-expression. And it has definitely evolved for me ever since I became a mother, especially to a baby girl. Now I think that more than trying to fit in, one is just constantly and day-to-day in a mode of self-acceptance, because your body is changing every day, how you look in the mirror changes every day." Masaba Gupta believes that inner beauty always shows on the outside. "It just comes from a place of accepting that you are doing your best with the change, growth, and evolution, and coming to terms with it. Beauty becomes more about embracing the now - the reality of a situation - and the reality that beauty is not really one single definition! It actually means different things at different phases in one's life. And I truly believe that inner beauty is something that always shows on the outside," she added. Masaba Gupta On Makeup Being A Powerful Tool Explaining that her approach to beauty is about enhancing her features, and not covering up, Masaba Gupta says, "My personal approach to beauty has always been minimal, but it's also very mood driven. But I think I lean towards makeup that is classic and as close to my natural skin as possible. It's just about accentuating what I have - the features, and not trying to look like someone else." To Masaba Gupta, makeup is not about looking like someone else but about expressing herself in the best way possible. "It's self-expression. It's also confidence boosting. It's also a coping mechanism for most people. It's something that is transformative. It is something that is a mood enhancer. Because I think when I wear makeup, I feel very much in charge. And I know that, especially postpartum, if I do put on a little bit of colour on my cheeks and my lips, I do feel brighter, more confident, better through the day." Masaba Gupta Shares Some Hacks In the interview, the ace designer shared that the trick to making her lipstick last longer is to hydrate it first by putting lots of petroleum jelly or any lip balm while doing the base. Now, take the lip balm off once you are done with the makeup. Then dab a tissue after applying a lipstick, and some setting powder or loose powder on top of it to make your lipstick last longer. The Masaba Masaba actor shared another hack that is perfect for the summer or even monsoon when its hot outside. She uses a muslin cloth dipped in ice water and places it on her face. This helps her feel better when it's hot outside without ruining her makeup, making it a perfect trick to keep your makeup in place.

Neena Gupta says she lost roles in films because she didn't have a type: 'If you are not typecast, you're not memorable'

Versatility is something Neena Gupta has in abundance. In a career that has spanned four decades, she has played every concievable role from a demure housewife to Mahatma Gandhi's niece. However, the actor rues never being tyepcast. In a candid chat with Hindustan Times, she reveals why. Neena Gupta reflects on her acting career. Talking to us amid the promotions of Panchayat season 4, Neena reflects on her work on television, where she appeared on shows as diverse as Mirza Ghalib, Saans, Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin, and Masaba Masaba. 'I did a variety of roles on TV. But if you do variety, that is also a problem, because you don't have a type,' she says, adding, 'There is no 'take Neena for this kind of role'. Being typecast is very important. That helps create a certain image of yours, and then you are chosen for those kinds of roles. If you are not typecast, you are not memorable.' Neena says that television in India was always known for more diverse stories and rooted characters. 'In television, I did many different kinds of roles, from rural to urban. But TV was always looked down upon, considered lower level, while film is top level,' she adds. However, the actor is happy that now films are also being written with relatable, diverse characters. She says, 'Now, even films see rooted stories, which is a very interesting thing. I have done so many interesting roles in the last few years, which is so wonderful.' In the 80s, Neena Gupta established herself as a star in the so-called 'parallel cinema'. But it was in films in the last decade that she found her calling again, starting with Badhaai Ho. She is now seen in Panchayat. The show also stars Raghuvir Yadav, Faisal Malik, Chandan Roy, Sanvikaa, Durgesh Kumar, Sunita Rajwar, Ashok Pathak, and Pankaj Jha. It is currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
