Coach Massimiliano Canzi spoke to the press after Juventus Women First Team's 3-1 loss against Fiorentina on Matchday 7 of the Women's Serie A Poule Scudetto. MASSIMILIANO CANZI 'Motivation certainly plays a part, but it took us a long time to get into the match: we didn't approach the challenge badly, but in the first half Fiorentina deserved more than us. In the second half we played well, but we were unable to capitalise on our chances as we would have deserved: in the second 45 minutes we played with a 'Juventus' spirit, and I'm happy about this, unlike the first half of the match. Considerations that concern the whole team, regardless of who played and who didn't: the attitude once we returned to the field after half-time had clearly changed on all sides. Now we get ready to face the match at the Allianz Stadium in a fortnight in front of our fans, which will bring our league campaign to an end: we must be good at staying focused and playing the next 90 minutes at our best.'

We prepared for the match knowing that we would have to play like that, we did well physically until the very end, the attention to detail was there even though we conceded two goals from set pieces. We have to improve on the management of the momentum of the match, but today we did well. Mathilde Harviken and Abi Brighton are improving a lot from a physical and tactical point of view, I'm very happy with their attitude and they slotted into the group immediately. Just as we didn't over-react after the defeat against Roma in the first phase of the league, we won't get over-excited at the moment. There are still seven games to go, the road is still long. Today I really liked the spirit of sacrifice, the desire to sacrifice for teammates and never giving up until the end as we have in our DNA at Juventus.'
