Shine Tom Chacko's car driver reveals a speed of 60-80 km/h: Lorry swerved suddenly: Confirms no other vehicles on the road at that time
(Picture Courtesy: Facebook) Popular Malayalam actor Shine Tom Chacko was injured in a tragic road accident near Salem, Tamil Nadu, in the early hours of the morning (June 6). The accident claimed the life of his father, C.P. Chacko. The family was en route from Ernakulam to Bengaluru for Shine's medical treatment when the incident occurred around 6:30 AM near Hogenakkal in Dharmapuri district. The lorry swerved suddenly, says the driver Aneesh, who was driving Shine's vehicle, said the accident was caused by a lorry that unexpectedly swerved from the right lane to the left. Check out Shine Tom Chacko's dubbing session Aneesh shared the details in an interview with Mathrubhumi News, stating that they had moved the vehicle to the left side of the road so Shine could relieve himself. While the lorry had been seen traveling at a distance in the right lane, it suddenly veered left just as they were about to cross. Due to the vehicle's speed—estimated between 60 and 80 km/h—it was impossible to brake in time, resulting in a rear-end collision with the lorry. Father was not wearing a seatbelt Shine's father, C.P. Chacko, was seated in the back seat without a seatbelt. Aneesh explained that the force of the impact caused C.P. Chacko to hit his head against the back of the driver's seat, resulting in a fatal injury. A passing vehicle was used to rush him to the hospital, but he succumbed to his injuries on the way. Aneesh added that Chacko was conscious and moaning until they reached the hospital. Shine Tom Chacko and family had reportedly left Ernakulam around 10 PM the previous night and were headed to Bengaluru via Salem, following an earlier course of treatment in Thodupuzha. Actor Sreenath Bhasi accused of demanding drugs on film set, producer speaks out
Dubai: Malayalam actor Sreenath Bhasi has been accused of demanding cannabis during the shoot of the movie Namukku Court-il Kaanam by film producer Haseeb Malabar. In an interview with Mathrubhumi News, Haseeb alleged that Bhasi insisted on receiving 'stuff to smoke' around 3am on the film's set through an intermediary. According to the producer, the actor made it clear that he needed cannabis to get into the mood to act. 'He asked me to send the 'stuff' through someone. I was shocked. But we didn't raise a complaint at the time because we didn't want to disrupt the shoot,' said Haseeb. He also claimed that Bhasi used the on-set caravan to smoke and barred others from entering. These revelations come in the wake of Bhasi's recent legal troubles. Earlier this month, the actor withdrew his anticipatory bail plea in connection with the Alappuzha hybrid cannabis case. The case stems from the arrest of alleged drug peddler Taslima Sultana, who reportedly named Bhasi as one of her clients. Bhasi has denied the allegations, stating that he never purchased or consumed cannabis and that Sultana had contacted him posing as a fan under the alias 'Christina.' The Kerala Excise Department has intensified its probe and may summon several film industry figures, including Bhasi, for questioning as investigations continue.
