Kerry release player four days after transfer over 'values and principles' issue
Kerry FC have released a player just four days after signing him, saying his 'values and principles didn't match the standards of the club.' Colin Healy's side announced the intriguing signing of Shane Maroodza on Friday, and the Zimbabwe international even started in their 3-0 loss to UCD. The 21-year-old looked like a good get for the side, having been a part of Huddersfield's setup and picked in the Zimbabwe squad for their World Cup qualifiers. But in a shock announcement, Maroodza and goalkeeper Mathyas Randriamamy have been released by the club. In a short statement released on Tuesday evening, the club said: "Mathyas Randriamamy and Shane Maroodza have been released from Kerry FC. Unfortunately, their values and principles didn't match the standards of the club." Randriamamy came through the ranks at PSG and featured on their substitutes bench for a number of Champions League games. Kerry currently sit in ninth place of the First Division Table, having slumped in form and lost their last five league games. The club have been busy since the release of players, signing three players on Tuesday evening.

Kerry FC release two players due to 'values and principles not matching club standards'
Intrigue surrounds the abrupt departure of two players from Colin Healy's Kerry FC, one of whom was signed only five days ago. Both goalkeeper Mathyas Randriamamy and defender Shane Maroodza have been released by the First Division club with a brief, curious statement. 'Unfortunately, their values and principles didn't match the standards of the club,' a message on the Twitter account read. Kerry FC opted to disable the comments facility under the message. It's understood the incident that triggered the parting of ways occurred outside of club activities. Zimbabwe international Maroodza (21) made his one and only appearance for the Kingdom on the day he was announced, Friday's 3-0 home defeat to UCD. 'He has been in training with us for the last few weeks and has been really good around the group, and has fit in really well,' Healy had said. 'He comes with some fantastic experience, from his time with Huddersfield and, of course, making his international debut with Zimbabwe. Hopefully, he enjoys his time here in Kerry.' Mathyas Randriamamy joined Kerry within a week of the season kicking off in February. Hailed as a goalkeeper who graduated through the Paris Saint-Germain system, working with Kylian Mbappé, Neymar and Angel Di Maria was cited. He had been a substitute goalkeeper for three Champions League matches of the current holders, including the semi-final defeat to Manchester City.
