HONOLULU (KHON2) — The Pan-Pacific Festival kicks off in Waikīkī Friday night and wraps up with a grand parade on Sunday.

Performers include local taiko drummers Dragon Beat, musical trio Walea, sibling duo Kaika and Lilia, and Nā Hōkū Award-nominated group Hui Pū.
The Pan-Pacific Festival Foundation and the Matsuri in Hawai'i Committee have announced the 42nd annual Pan-Pacific Festival, set for June 13–15, 2025. After a successful return in 2024 following a five-year hiatus, the celebration will take place at venues from Ala Moana to Waikīkī. The event is supported by the Hawai'i Tourism Authority through its Signature Events held in 1980 as 'Matsuri in Hawaii,' the festival began as a way to celebrate and share traditional Japanese culture. Over the years, its scope has broadened to include cultures throughout Hawai'i's diverse community. With greater access to resources, organizers aim to expand opportunities for global connection through education and experience.
The festival features a diverse mix of cultural arts, crafts, and live performances across multiple events. Hawai'i's international tourism appeal and multiethnic population make it an ideal location to promote intercultural friendship, goodwill, and understanding.
