Baltimore weather: 1.6K without power after Saturday storms; more likely on way
About 1,600 Marylanders are without power as of Sunday morning, according to Baltimore Gas and Electric Co., following a severe thunderstorm Saturday night. More precipitation and storms are expected into Tuesday. The National Weather Service began issuing thunderstorm warnings and related alerts around 3:30 p.m. Saturday and continued throughout the evening. The majority of Harford, Frederick, Carroll and Baltimore counties were impacted by the storm, along with some areas of Cecil County. According to BGE, over half of the 1,620 outages reported are in Baltimore County. On Sunday, showers and a possible thunderstorm are expected before 1 p.m., along with patchy fog. The high is predicted to be around 72 with wind speeds up to 20 mph. Storms are likely before 3 a.m., with more patchy fog. Sunday evening's low is predicted to be around 63. Moving into the workweek, storms are forecast after 11 a.m., with patchy fog predicted before 11 a.m. Monday's high should be around 75 with slight winds ranging from 5 to 8 mph.
