Two teenagers killed after collision between motorbike and car in Salford
Two teenagers have died after a motorbike collided with a car in Salford.
It happened on Lower Broughton Road around 8:20pm on Thursday 22 May.
Emergency services were called, but the 16-year-old and 17-year-old boys both died later in hospital. The driver of the car, a 24-year-old woman, stayed at the scene to assist officers, and no arrests have been made.
Greater Manchester Police's Serious Collision Investigation Unit are investigating the circumstances of the crash. In a statement released on Friday, they said: "This is a heart-breaking and upsetting incident where two young men have sadly lost their lives"
The families of both victims are being supported by specialist officers.
Detective Sergeant Matt Waggett, of our Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: 'Our thoughts are with their families. Our investigation continues so we can give them the answers they deserve.
'We are looking for anyone who has any information regarding the incident to come forward and get in touch with us.'
