Man sentenced for 2023 Shawnee DUI crash that killed 9-year-old Lenexa boy
KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A Kansas City, Kansas man is sentenced for the 2023 Shawnee crash that left a 9-year-old Lenexa boy dead.
Matthew Alexander Jacobo was sentenced in Johnson County court Thursday to 11 years and four months for the 2023 death of Nolan Davidson.
Jacobo to reckless second-degree murder and leaving the scene of a crash, resulting in death.
On Dec. 1, 2023, the Shawnee Police Department responded to a hit-and-run crash just before 7 p.m. involving a white truck and a black Sedan near Johnson Drive and Bell Road, just east of I-435.
Police said Jacobo left the scene of the crash, where prosecutors say he was driving drunk. A K9 unit later found him to take him into custody.
