The incident took place during their dramatic Scottish Premiership clash with Dundee United on Sunday. The object was thrown during the match at Tannadice Stadium in Dundee around 4.40pm on Sunday, reports The Record. The lighter was launched from the George Fox Stand of the ground and struck a Hearts player. Police say he was not injured. Constable Matthew Boath said: 'This was an unacceptable and reckless act that could have resulted in injury. 'Our enquiries are ongoing into this incident, and I am asking anyone who was at the game or who saw what happened to get in touch with us.' The incidents happened overnight in the Lochee area of the city in the early hours of Sunday morning. A number of small items were taken from the vehicles.
