Vestal man arrested after police chase on I-86 in Elmira
ELMIRA, N.Y. (WETM) – A Vestal man has been arrested on various charges following a police chase that occurred on Interstate 86 in the Town of Elmira on Monday.
Matthew D. Struble, 37, was arrested on Monday, July 14, on the following charges, as stated in a release from the Chemung County Sheriff's Office:
Unlawful fleeing a police officer in the third degree
Obstructing governmental administration in the second degree
Resisting arrest
Criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree
Driving while ability impaired by drugs
Officials say Struble was charged with the crimes following a police chase on I-86. As a result, Struble was given an appearance ticket to appear in Elmira Town Court at a future date.
