Secret Lives of Mormon Wives cast banned from discussing politics amid wild pro-Trump accusations
The cast of Hulu's hit series The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives have reportedly been banned from discussing their political views. The show, which follows a group of Mormon momfluencers from the notoriously conservative Utah, have often been accused by viewers of supporting Donald Trump. Cast member Mayci Neeley broke her silence on the group's politics this week on TikTok after a follower commented, 'If only you weren't a Trump supporter.' Firing back, the 30-year-old wrote, 'These assumptions are wild. Contractually we aren't allowed to talk about our political views.' She continued, 'So I'm sick of seeing these comments on every post even though no one knows my views. They assume since I'm Mormon that I am super conservative and that's not the case.' This isn't the first time that the Mormon Wives cast have been pegged as Trump supporters. There are countless threads on Reddit speculating about the group's political leanings, with some fans even finding out which political figures the cast follow on social media. While the cast refuse to comment on their personal political views, Utah is one of the most conservatives states in America. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has a significant influence on the state's culture and politics. Around 60 percent of Utah residents are members of the LDS Church, which traditionally supports conservative values. The second season of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives has been a blockbuster hit so far. In its first five days, the series amassed over five million on Hulu and Disney+. Season two saw the addition of TikTok influencer Miranda McWhorter, 26, who is an original member of MomTok and was once best friends with Taylor Frankie Paul. Unsurprisingly, she was also implicated in Taylor's swinging scandal. Season one of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives revolved around MomTok, a group of glamorous Mormon influencers led by Taylor who were plunged into a sex scandal when Taylor outed herself as a swinger. Last year, The Secret Lives Of Mormon Wives was ranked the number one unscripted show on Hulu, becoming the streamer's biggest premiere since The Kardashians. The 30-year-old wrote, 'These assumptions are wild. Contractually we aren't allowed to talk about our political views' Sparks flew between the members of the principal cast, which was made up of Taylor, Jen Affleck, Demi Engemann, Whitney Leavitt, Mikayla Matthews, Mayci Neeley, Jessi Ngatikaura, Layla Taylor. The show caused a stir both online and in the LDS church thanks to the outrageous antics of the cast. Some of the wild scenes on the show have included a sex act involving breakfast cereal, a swinging scandal, a drunken arrest, and a trip to a male strip revue in Vegas. One cast member also revealed the results of her labiaplasty on camera, while another confessed to getting pregnant to her now-husband when she was just 16 and he was 21. The series is produced by the team behind Netflix's My Unorthodox Life, which followed designer Julia Haart after leaving her strict orthodox Jewish community behind to become a hotshot in the fashion world.

EXCLUSIVE The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star reveals the surprise (and X-rated) item she's been offered the most to promote
A star on The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives have revealed the surprise item she has been offered the most to promote online. The answer: sex toys. Mayci Neeley told at the season two premiere of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives that the most lucrative pitches come from 'vibrator deals.' 'I feel the highest deals are always vibrator deals,' Mayci, 30, explained when asked about the craziest items she had ever been asked to promote. Despite the high numbers, the price has yet to tempt Mayci into doing a post for the X-rated product. 'We both turn 'em down,' Mayci said, referring to herself and co-star Mikayla Matthews, 25. 'The price has to be so crazy for me to accept it, and the price hasn't been right enough yet. Like they're high offers,' she said, adding the proposed deals weren't 'high enough' for her to accept. Whitney Leavitt revealed on season one of the show that she was offered $20,000 to promote vibrators by Bellesa Boutique, a partnership she initially grappled with and faced pushback from family over before accepting. But now the influencer, 32, proudly embraces the decision and has two posts up on her Instagram happily promoting the sex toys. Asked about the wildest item she has ever been asked to promote, she told 'Mine was a vibrator one. That's been the craziest and I did it!' Co-star Demi Engemann was in agreement in regards to the wildest brand deal pitched to them, adding she was happy to shine a light on such a 'taboo' subject. 'They pay so well,' she told 'It's awesome because it's something that like we're so down to promote. 'It's such a taboo topic that should be talked about, it's under talked about. And so for me, it's like, that's awesome, I'll do that.' She did not specify how much the offer was, only coyly stating, 'A price.' Viewers may recall Whitney considering the Bellesa offer on season one of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. 'All I have to do is hold it and take a picture, like just me, and post it on Instagram. Like that's it,' she told her pals of what the company wanted her to do. However, she feared how her family would react to her promoting a sex toy in light of their conservative Mormon faith. 'In the Mormon religion, we're very conservative. I worry about the people I grew up with, specifically my family, seeing me promote this sex toy because it's very, very taboo,' she said in a confessional. She ran the offer by her mother and sister, who both were not completely sold on the idea and had their own issues with it. Her mother, specifically, said the subject matter was a 'private, personal' one that should only be discussed between a couple. 'I think it's a personal thing between you and your partner,' she said. When Whitney pointed out that the product was also for single women, her mother replied: 'I think when you're seeking pleasure, it can just get out of hand.' Ultimately, Whitney decided to take the offer - and her mother appeared at peace with her choice. 'You hate it! You hate it so much!' Whitney said when she landed on her decision. 'Well there's lots of things I don't agree with,' her mother said. 'But that's okay.' A jubilant Whitney proudly plugged the brand in a video showing off her colorful collection of Bellesa vibrators. She raved: 'For the people who are asking me how I'm doing, well, I stay unbothered living happily with my husband with my 20k brand deals and my many, many vibrators!' Season two of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star premieres on May 15 on Hulu.

There's more #MomTok drama on the way! 'The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives' returns for Season 2 this spring ... and an extended trailer dropped on April 22. The Hulu reality series premiered in September 2024 and was renewed for a second season a month later. On March 10, Hulu released a premiere date for Season 2 and on April 22, offered an extended look at the season. When does 'The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives' return for Season 2? Season 2 of 'The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives' will premiere on Hulu on Thursday, May 15, 2025. What will Season 2 of 'The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives' be about? According to Hulu, Season 2 of the reality series will shake things up with the introduction of another star. Miranda McWhorter, along with ex-husband Chase McWhorter, confirmed they were part of a 'soft swinging' group within the #MomTok community. 'When an original swinger from their infamous sex scandal makes a surprise return, friendships threaten to unravel as secrets, lies, and allegations explode. In a battle for the soul of #MomTok, will betrayal shatter the sisterhood, or will the truth set them free?' a description reads. Season 2 includes 10 episodes. Filming for the season began at the end of October 2024. Currently, three members of the #MomTok group — Jen Affleck, Mikayla Matthews and Mayci Neeley — are expecting children, so their pregnancies may play a role in Season 2. Who is in the cast of 'The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives'? Hulu lists Taylor Frankie Paul, Demi Engemann, Jennifer Affleck, Jessi Ngatikaura, Layla Taylor, Mayci Neeley, Mikayla Mathews and Whitney Leavitt — the same cast as last season — as the Season 2 stars. McWhorter is a new addition to the cast. The trailers give insight into what to expect The Season 2 trailer released April 22 is a full 2 minutes long, and it's full of action. The short clip begins with Mayci Neeley saying, 'I think #MomTok's been a positive impact for the Mormon community.' Flashes of the women wearing lingerie and moving suggestively tell a different story, however. Jen Affleck, whose marriage was on the rocks at the end of Season 1, can be seen having a heart-to-heart with husband Zac Affleck. She smirks slightly while looking at him, and when he asks for a hug, she offers him a handshake. The Afflecks are expecting their third child. The #MomTok group clearly doesn't want to allow former member Whitney Leavitt within their ranks, but Leavitt appears determined to get back in their good graces. While the #MomTok group is gathered together for an outing, one of the women says, 'Is that Miranda?' Ngatikaura refers to McWhorter as 'Taylor's ex-best friend.' For her part, McWhorter vows, 'I'm going to set the record straight on the swinging scandal.' Taylor Frankie Paul's storyline is up next, along with her partner Dakota Mortensen. Paul says their relationship is 'getting worse' and mentions that she's concerned about his sobriety. The clip also teases a pregnancy announcement, a fight that prompts a call to the police, a controversial trip to Italy and plenty of other drama. 'Honestly, the show must go on,' Demi Engemann declares at the end of the trailer. What happened at the end of Season 1? Season 1 of 'The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives' left viewers with several cliffhangers. For starters, Jen Affleck was facing marriage challenges and a potential move to New York. Paul and Mortensen's relationship was also a bit uneasy.
