Mayor of Kingstown's power play will resume this fall. Paramount+ on Thursday announced that Season 4 of the Jeremy Renner-led crime drama will premiere Sunday, Oct. 26. Several Taylor Sheridan shows will be released this fall, according to a recent earnings call held by Paramount Global executives. Starting in September, a new season will premiere from shows like "Tulsa King," "Mayor of Kingstown" and "Landman" each month. "Tulsa King" returned to Oklahoma for filming part of the show's third season this spring with acting legend Sylvester Stallone at the helm. Meanwhile, the Jeremy Renner-led "Mayor of Kingstown" was filmed in Pennsylvania and the Billy Bob Thornton and Demi Moore-led "Landman" was filmed in Texas. Though we know which months they'll premiere, the exact days each seson will start have not yet been released. Here's what to know about each returning show. When is 'Tulsa King' season 3? "Tulsa King" will return on September 21, 2025, according to Paramount. The third season will also add Oscar nominee Samuel L. Jackson which will spin off and lead the "NOLA King" series following character Russell Lee Washington, Jr before moving from Tulsa to New Orleans. Paramount reports that in season three, Stallone's character Dwight "The General" Manfredi sees his empire expand, but not without notice of his enemies. Now he faces "his most dangerous adversaries in Tulsa yet: the Dunmires." Although the first season of "Tulsa King" was primarily filmed in Oklahoma, particularly at the former Prairie Surf Studios in downtown Oklahoma City, season 2 filmed primarily in the Atlanta area, with a small amount of filming in Oklahoma. In August 2024, the Tulsa World reported that the show's crew — but not the main cast — had returned to Tulsa to get new footage for the gangster saga. That said, Paramount+ has yet to cancel the original series either, and since we know the streaming service loves Sheridan shows, there's still hope for continuation. Plot: Sheridan knows no limits when it comes to the entertainment industry, so in a twist, his upcoming projects aren't all scripted TV series. Sheridan, Blake Shelton, David Glasser, Lee Metzger, and Keith Urban have a new singing competition coming to CBS. Per the network: 'The Road follows Grammy Award winner Urban, who also serves as the headlining superstar for the series, on his journey to discover the next big artist alongside Grammy Award winner Gretchen Wilson, who acts as the 'tour manager.' The docu-follow format trails a group of emerging musicians (TBA) as they open for Urban at music venues across America, competing to win over local fanbases to secure a spot in the next city and remain on the tour. Plot: Longtime Sheridan fans know this list wouldn't be complete without mentioning 6666, the Yellowstone spinoff that wasn't (yet!), but that may still come together one day. Per TV Insider, when the spinoff was first announced in February 2021, Paramount+'s description was as follows: 'Founded when Comanches still ruled West Texas, no ranch in America is more steeped in the history of the West than the 6666. Still operating as it did two centuries before, and encompassing an entire county, the 6666 is where the rule of law and the laws of nature merge in a place where the most dangerous thing one does is the next thing … The 6666 is synonymous with the merciless endeavor to raise the finest horses and livestock in the world, and ultimately where world class cowboys are born and made.' Premiere Date: TBA Cast, Filming Updates, And More: While the Yellowstone offshoot 6666 was put on hold, it was expected to center on the Four Sixes ranch in Texas, where Jefferson White's character Jimmy went to work during the original series. While a cast wasn't announced in 2021, there's potential for White and other Yellowstone stars (including Sheridan!) to return down the line if the creator revisits the story. For those who don't know, the 6666 ranch is a real place near Guthrie, Texas, currently owned by Sheridan himself. So the possibility of shooting there in the future certainly remains. Pittsburgh Film Office gives reviews of suggested movie tariffs
The reviews are pouring in on the plan President Donald Trump pitched to put 100 percent tariffs on films made outside the United States. No final decisions have been made, but reaction from film industry leaders has been rolling in. "There's a lot more production leaving the country than there used to be," said Dawn Keezer, the executive director of the Pittsburgh Film Office. She said the discussion around potential movie tariffs is putting the film industry in the spotlight and spreading the word about how something needs to be done to bring more production back home. "My first reaction was, wow, this is great. It's going to make everybody come home, right? It's really going to fix it. But look, who knows what all the rules are really going to mean?" Keezer said. "I personally believe that it's a lot easier to incentivize versus punish. And I would love to see it as more of what we can do to encourage work in this country, and I really worry about Southwestern Pa.," she added. Pittsburgh has long been known for its role in the film industry. "We've had over 250 film and TV projects filmed here since 1995," Keezer said. "We played home to 'Batman.' We played home to 'Jack Reacher.' We've had Tom Hanks here twice. We've had Christian Bale here three times." Keezer said 2024 was a slow year for the Pittsburgh area, but they've hit the ground running in 2025. "'Mayor of Kingstown' is here. They're wrapping up season four here in about another four to six weeks or so. And we're hoping they come back for season five and six, seven, eight, however many more we can get. We're getting ready to start production on the feature film 'Hershey,' which, of course, is great. Pennsylvania history, all about how the Hershey Company got started. We've got another feature coming very quickly and a potential TV series," she said. Keezer said they're not typically competing on a global scale, but they lose work to Canada all the time, like CBS' show "Watson," which came to Pittsburgh for four days to get establishing shots. "That show was written by a Pittsburgher, Craig Sweeney. It was set in Pittsburgh. And they're filming in Vancouver, and they're filming because it's a $16 million difference between filming in Vancouver, Canada, and filming here," she said. The White House said no final decisions have been made about the film tariffs. And how those would work is not even in the script yet. The president plans to meet with industry leaders to hash out a plan. "I'm actually going to meet with some because, you know, there's some advantages, I guess. And I'm not looking to hurt the industry. I want to help the industry," President Trump told reporters this week. "What I think President Trump was very successful in doing is igniting a much-needed conversation about the state of our film, television, streaming industry on a global scale. People forget that this is really a business," Keezer said. "What we can look at is the fact that something needs to be done. So, come up with a plan to be able to encourage the production to come back might be the plan. And maybe that's a tariff. But until you actually see all the details of something, how would you even know?" she added. While industry leaders wait for more answers from the White House, Keezer hopes state lawmakers raise Pennsylvania's film tax credit program from $100 million a year to $300 million. She believes adding a federal incentive to the states' tax incentives would encourage people to keep production in the U.S. She also mentioned how other countries have federal film offices and the U.S. does not.
