KSP: Driver fell asleep in deadly Kentucky crash
GREENVILLE, Ky. (FOX 56) — Kentucky State Police are investigating a deadly two-vehicle fatal collision on Highway 181 about 1 mile south of the Western Kentucky Parkway.
The Muhlenberg County Sheriff's Department requested help from KSP around 4:37 a.m. (CT), according to a news release.

Kentucky State Police said an investigation shows that 22-year-old Tyler A. Caple, of Cromwell, was driving a 2011 Buick Enclave southbound on 181. Nevin P. Bard, 61, of Greenville, was driving a 2014 Mazda Two northbound on 181.
Authorities said Caple fell asleep while driving and crossed into the northbound lane, hitting Bard's vehicle head-on.
Bard was pronounced dead at the scene by the Muhlenberg County Coroner.

Caple was taken to the Owensboro Health Muhlenberg County Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The investigation is ongoing.
