BOE work session rescheduled to Monday
The Cumberland County Board of Education rescheduled its work session from Thursday to Monday, Feb. 24, at 3:30 p.m.
The work session agenda includes a presentation from McKinstry-Facilities Assessment by Dillon Fontaine, discussion of the Stanley Street property at the CCHS campus, proposed payout for outcome monies, resolution for school vouchers and teacher bonus, hazard mitigation plan resolution, the homestead fence status, discussion on executive committee policy 1.300, Robert's Rules of Order, discussion on public comments policy 1.404 and 1.402, discussion on cell phone policy, discussion on policy 1.8011 emergency closings, update on SMHS football field repairs, discussion on tennis courts, discussion for a special committee to explore middle school options for Cumberland County, special committee for evaluations, city annexation letters and the five-year strategic plan review.
In finance, the board will discuss the budget calendar, the financial report, sales tax report, nine budget amendments, running fund balance, preliminary executive summary, paid health insurance premiums summary, prioritize remaining maintenance spend for fiscal year including quotes, grant request/acceptance, request for funds and school fundraisers.
The board will discuss the consent agenda items including service agreements, calendars and newsletters from all the schools, field trip/overnight requests, personnel report, substitute list, retired inventory, attendance and executive approved items.
