23 Gujarat cops awarded President's medals
Gandhinagar: Twenty-three Gujarat police personnel have been awarded the President's medals on the occasion of Independence Day. Of these, two received the President's Medal for Distinguished Service (PSM), while 21 were honoured with the Medal for Meritorious Service (MSM).
DGP Vikas Sahay congratulated all the officers and personnel.
The PSM awardees are Piyush Patel, director, ACB, and Mukesh Solanki, SP, CID IB.
IPS officers who received the MSM include Sharad Singhal, JCP, crime branch, Ahmedabad City; K N Damor, JCP, Sector 2, Surat City; and R P Barot, additional CP, Zone 5, Surat City.
