Sunday in the Park returns to Greenville in June
GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) — An annual event is making it's way back to Greenville. Greenville Recreation and Parks' Sunday in the Park will be hosted across two seasons this year for the first time ever. Sunday in the Park is a family friendly free event that brings live music and food trucks to the community. The first summer session event will be on Saturday, June 1, at the Town Common with the Tar River Community Band Playing. On June 15, Miss Mini & The Sandman Band will play. The last date for the summer session is June 29, where The Main Event Band will take stage. Summer concerts will begin at 6:30pm. The fall session starts on Saturday, September 7, where Built for Comfort will play. The last day for the fall concerts will be on September 21, and Love Tribe will perform. These events will be held at the Wildwood Park Event Shelter. 'This year's expansion into two seasons allows us to reach even more residents and visitors while showcasing the incredible talent we have in our region,' said Megan Howard, Marketing & Events Coordinator for Greenville Recreation and Parks. BBQ, Brews, & Beach Beats Festival celebrated in Greenville
GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) — May is National BBQ Month and Greenville is celebrating by having its BBQ, Brews, & Beach Beats festival over the weekend. The outdoor community event featured BBQ food trucks, bounce houses, live music, and a beer garden Live music was provided by The Castaways and Chairmen of the Board. 'It's spring, everybody is ready to get outdoors. It's a beautiful day. You know, it brings more awareness to the parks that we have here in Greenville, gives them something to come out and experience and find a new location for them to do some recreation like playgrounds,' Greenville Recreation and Parks Marketing and Special Events Coordinator Megan Howard said.
