Mardi Gras night market welcomes all to celebrate
BOSSIER CITY, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – The Bossier Night Market is the largest free vendor event in the Ark-La-Tex with free parking. This market was themed to celebrate the Mardi Gras season.
Melita McClain, owner of Leggings Lady, said, 'We're going to have a parade later this evening; we've got some wreaths and signs that are Mardi Gras. T-shirts, a little bit of this that and the other that are all Mardi Gras themed.'
With more than 200 vendors and handmade pieces, there was something for everyone at the family event. There was also live music, food trucks, face painting, free beads, and a night parade.

'When you're a busy person and work a full-time job, you don't get to see a lot of people in your community, and this is a way for people to come out and enjoy the nice weather we have, the crafts that we have to sell, the merchandise we have to sell, and we get to visit,' said Jo Hammer, owner of All in a Twist.
For many vendors, the market was an opportunity to showcase and bring their hobbies to the community. Sara Richardson, owner of Sara Sparkles, says hand-selected diamonds for her crafts are therapeutic.
'I just like to hand select them and put them on one by one, and it's just, it's more special knowing that the time and the mental sanity to do it. And every business has their own that's in their heart like that,' said Richardson.
The night market kicks off on Saturday, 8, 202,5 and is family-friendly and pet-friendly from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Pierre Bossier Mall, 2950 E Texas St, Ste 212, Bossier City,
