These Y&R Pets Just Upstaged Their Famous Owners—and We Can't Stop Watching
Most of The Young and the Restless cast are pet owners. The stars of the soap opera often show off their furry companions on social media. Now, the dogs and cats of many Y&R stars are featured in a new, adorable video. The pets of Y&R stars have become just as famous as their owners. With their moms and dads showing them off on social media, fans have gotten to know these adorable pups and kittens. And it appears that these pets might be trying to take their parents' job. The Y&R Insider YouTube channel posted a video with many of the cast's pets recreating the show's iconic opening credits. Sharon Case (Sharon), Tracey Bregman (Lauren), Melody Thomas Scott (Nikki), Mark Grossman (Adam), and Joshua Morrow (Nick) are a few of the stars whose dogs and cats are in the video. The pets prove they're just as talented as their parents as they strike a pose while the Y&R theme plays. As the animals are introduced, a caption underneath has them playing their owner's iconic role. WATCH THIS: Check out Soap Hub's new podcast, Soap Hub Says here! The video has already gotten over 4,000 views since Tuesday and fans can't get enough of the cuteness. 'Very cute…hope your cast members liked video too,' commented one fan. 'This is too funny!' one viewer wrote. 'That was so cute…Adorable!' declared another fan. These adorable pets definitely stole the show and upstaged their famous owners. While they won't take over mom or dad's roles, maybe these pups can make an appearance on Y&R one day. Who was your favorite Y&R pet from the video? Let us know in the comment section below. Beloved 'The Young and the Restless' Star's Daytime Emmy Snub Called a 'Crime'
Beloved 'The Young and the Restless' Star's Daytime Emmy Snub Called a 'Crime' originally appeared on Parade. The nominations for the 52nd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards are out. While The Young and the Restless earned the highest number of noms, one fan favorite wasn't on the list. Melody Thomas Scott (Nikki) didn't earn an acting nod in either the Lead Actress or Supporting Actress category. It was a shock considering her stellar performance over the past year as Nikki battled with her stand-alone episode in which Jack (Peter Bergman) gave up his sobriety should have been enough to get Scott an Emmy nod. Bergman got one, which is deserved, but fans aren't happy Scott didn't get one. Social media was on fire after the nominations, as The Young and the Restlessfans spoke out about Scott's snub. 'Now that all the noms are out! Melody Thomas Scott and Colleen Zenk not getting noms really overcooks my grits!' read an X. Another fan reshared that X, adding, 'Totally snubbed smh #YR #DaytimeEmmys.' One fan wrote, 'Can someone please explain how MCE and MS even got nominated, let alone over MTS and SSH? #DaytimeEmmys #yr.' A different fan expressed, 'Melody Thomas Scott was robbed. She had really good material early last year in the Jordan story. #YR.' #DaytimeEmmys #YR No MTS for that stand alone episode is a soap crime,' declared one X. The stand-alone episode was mentioned more than once with a fan spilling, 'Wow, MTS wasn't nominated for Nikki's alcohol story, either. That's a surprise. #YR.' 'SO HAPPY FOR MY QUEEN SHARON CASE GETTING HER WELL DESERVED SECOND DAYTIME EMMY NOM FOR LEAD ACTRESS. 🥹🥳👏 Also happy for Eileen just gutted MTS didn't get a nom. #DaytimeEmmys #YR,' expressed a fan. One fan declared, "It crazy how MTS has been on for over 45 years and has only received one Lead Actress nomination even after years of great performances, they always shut her out. A travesty. #YR #DaytimeEmmys." We have to agree with fans that Scott was robbed and most definitely should have been nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award.
