Man to face court four years after Huddersfield fatal crash
A man is set to appear in court four years after a Huddersfield woman was fatally struck by a Mason, 53, died after being hit by a Fiat Panda while walking on Wakefield Road in the Waterloo area of Huddersfield on 14 May investigating have now issued Melvyn Wade, 71, of Brown Royd Avenue, Huddersfield, with a court Mason's daughter Alicia Mason said: "We would just like to say as a family a thank you to DCI Roebuck and his team for investigating the death of my mum and listening to our concerns in order to bring criminal proceedings against the driver."
Mr Wade was previously arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and has now been summonsed to appear at Kirklees Magistrates' Court on 22 a hearing at Bradford Coroner's Court on Monday, assistant coroner Angela Brocklehurst said that she would suspend the inquest into Mrs Mason's death, with the next hearing scheduled for 16 January.
