Beekeeping class with Darke County Parks
DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – Would you like to join Merrie Lane Honey and Darke County Parks for a six-week beekeeping workshop designed for beginners?
The course includes lectures, hands-on training and practical tools. It will be led by Dave Collins, who has 18 years of teaching experience.
Topics covered include the following:
Bee Behavior and Colony Structures
Honey Production
Hive Maintenance
What's included with the course is as follows:
Six In-Person Lectures
Hands-On Lab Work (students must wear Personal Protective Equipment to participate.)
The Backyard Beekeeper Textbook
Bee Binder
