Mikee Quintos shared how Mikoy Morales asked her to be the best woman at his upcoming wedding with Isa Garcia. On Instagram, the "Slay" actress posted videos of herself turning emotional while reading Mikoy's letter asking her to be his best woman. One touching line from Mikoy's letter read: "Naalala ko noong pangatlong kita naming ni Isa, sa'yo ko agad dinala—because you were the benchmark of what a partner for me should be kaya thank you for loving her." Mikee responded to the "Lolong" actor in her post's caption. "No matter how scary the jump is… You jump, I jump," she wrote. "I got you," she added. "Can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you and [Isa]!" Mikoy got engaged to Isa in February. He previously starred in the Metro Manila Film Festival Best Picture "Green Bones" and in the Kapuso historical series "Pulang Araw." Ara Davao penned a touching message in honor of her late father Ricky Davao, on what would have been his 64th birthday. Ara posted a video of them happily dancing together at a party and set her Instagram Reel to Ed Sheeran's song, 'Visiting Hours.' 'Happy birthday in heaven, Pa. Someday, we will dance again,' Ara said in her caption. It was Ara who confirmed Ricky's death earlier in May. He passed away after facing complications related to cancer. He was 63 years old. Tributes from fellow artists instantly poured in on social media.. Ricky and Jackie Lou Blanco got married in 1989 but separated later on. They have three children together: Kenneth, Rikki Mae, and Ara. 'Green Bones' to stream on Netflix starting June 19

"Green Bones" is coming to Netflix soon! On social media Friday, GMA Pictures announced that the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) 2024 Best Picture will be available for streaming on Netflix beginning June 19. "Green Bones," produced by GMA Pictures, is directed by Zig Dulay based on an original story by JC Rubio, senior documentary manager of GMA Public Affairs. The film follows prisoner Domingo Zamora (Dennis Trillo), who is notorious for the murder of his sister and her daughter. Now that Domingo is up for parole, the newly assigned prison guard (Ruru Madrid) takes a personal interest in making sure that he remains behind bars no matter what. "Green Bones" bagged several awards at the MMFF 2024 last December. Aside from Best Picture, it also won Best Screenplay, (Ricky Lee and MMFF 2023 Best Screenplay winner Angeli Atienza) Best Actor (Dennis), Best Supporting Actor (Ruru), Best Cinematography (Neil Daza) and Best Child Performer (Sienna Stevens). In January, "Green Bones" won four accolades at the 3rd Gawad Dangal Filipino Awards, namely First Best Picture, Best Actor (Dennis), Best Supporting Actor (Ruru), and Best Director (Direk Zig). —CDC, GMA Integrated News

Judy Ann Santos wins best actress at Portugal Film Festival for ‘Espantaho'

Multi-awarded actress Judy Ann Santos has added another accolade to her name, winning Best Actress for her performance in the horror film Espantaho. Santos received the honor at the 45th Fantasporto International Film Festival in Portugal, an event that highlights fantasy, sci-fi, and horror films. She becomes the fourth Filipino artist to be recognized at the festival, following Barbie Forteza, Ian Veneracion, and Cristine Reyes. In her acceptance speech, Santos expressed her pride in representing the country on the global stage. 'Napakaganda ng souvenir na mauuwi ko mula dito sa Fantasporto,' she said. [Translation: I'm going to take home a very beautiful souvenir from Fantasporto] She jokingly added that she wouldn't mind paying extra baggage fees just to bring home her trophy. Her husband, television host Ryan Agoncillo, shared photos of her proudly holding the award.
