Practice plan for Jaguars' Travis Hunter in Week 2 of preseason
As the Jacksonville Jaguars prepare for their second preseason game, what will Travis Hunter's practice schedule look like for the remainder of the week?
Last week, leading up to the Jaguars' preseason opener, we saw Hunter regularly bouncing back and forth between offense and defense. As Coen said at that time, moving from one side to the other would be more common, but still wouldn't be the case every day.
On Monday's practice, Hunter only played wide receiver, according to Mia O'Brien. On Tuesday, most of his time will come at cornerback, and during Thursday's scrimmage, he will play both sides of the ball.
"We'll continue to do what we're doing out here, where it's offense, defense, offense, defense--getting reps on both sides of the ball throughout the course of practice," Coen said after Monday's practice. "I think he's going to be primarily more on defense tomorrow (Tuesday) and subbing in a little bit on offense, and Thursday in the scrimmage, he'll do both as well."
Along with Montaric Brown being sidelined, Tyson Campbell is currently day-to-day as well. However, Coen said the injuries at cornerback won't impact the Jaguars' practice plan with Hunter.
