In a new interview, he explained how the storyline is already mapped out through multiple seasons. His plans hint at major developments that could reshape the show's future. Michael Jonathan Smith teases Twisted Metal Season 3 and 4 ideas Speaking to The Direct, Michael Jonathan Smith said, 'It is extremely clear where Season 3 goes,' and noted that he has 'a lot of plans' for upcoming stories. When asked how many seasons he envisioned, Smith explained, 'I'm not one of those people who's going to be like, I have a very strict six-season plan. I want to go for as long as the fans watch.' He emphasized that he and the team 'have a lot of great plans for these characters.' Smith also teased his ambitions for future seasons, revealing, 'I have an amazing idea for Season 4 that I think fans will lose their goddamn minds when you hear it.' Peacock has not yet renewed Twisted Metal for Season 3. Still, Smith remains confident in the show's direction and ongoing storyline. In this next chapter of the story, following the revelations in the season one finale, 'John and Quiet find themselves entering the deadly Twisted Metal tournament, a sinister demolition derby hosted by a mysterious man known as Calypso. 'As they try to survive an onslaught of dangerous new foes and familiar faces alike, including the murderous clown Sweet Tooth, things get complicated for John when he reunites with his long-lost sister, the vigilante Dollface.' The series comes from showrunner Michael Jonathan Smith ( Cobra Kai ) and executive producers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick ( Deadpool ), and Smith shared in s a statement: 'The stakes couldn't be higher as John Doe (Anthony Mackie) and Quiet (Stephanie Beatriz) risk their lives to compete in a dangerous demolition derby tournament.
