Over $165,000 raised through 'Trees of Hope' for those in need of medical care
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – The Ronald McDonald House of Springfield announced in partnership with Gary Rome Hyundai that they've raised more than $165,000 through their 'Trees of Hope' event. The two groups celebrated during a check presentation in Springfield on Tuesday. This money will help provide vital resources for families with children who are receiving medical care in our area. HCC, Gary Rome partner for one day fundraiser campaign 'I think it's our responsibility as a business to give back to the community and support them in any way we can,' said Gary Rome, owner of Gary Rome Hyundai in Holyoke. 'It's because of our community partnerships that we have within the Springfield community that we are able to keep families together in their time of need,' Ronald McDonald House Charities Executive Director Michelle D'Amore said. This collaboration has raised more than $600,000 in the past four years. Gary Rome is calling this an incredible milestone. McDonald's shamrock shakes sold in western Massachusetts to benefit local charity
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – For the next six weeks, shamrock shakes sold at participating McDonald's in western Massachusetts will benefit a good cause. Locally owned McDonald's in our region will send 25 cents for every shake sold to Ronald McDonald House Charities. It's part of the 50th-anniversary partnership. McDonald's Shamrock Shake season is back, featuring an iconic character The promotion starts Monday and all of the money will be sent to help support families with children who are sick or injured. Over the past three years, $270,000 was donated from McDonald's across New England. 'The western Massachusetts McDonald's restaurants are excited to see the community come out and help us reach this year's fundraising goal.' Western Massachusetts McDonald's Owner Operator George Gomez said. 'The more Shamrock Shakes sold, the more money delivered to our local RMHC to provide comfort, care and support for families with children receiving critical care in our local hospitals.'
