Salman Khan set to begin shooting ‘Battle of Galwan' in August;intense Ladakh schedule to follow
After months of meticulous planning and preparation, Salman Khan is ready to begin filming his upcoming war drama Battle of Galwan. Inspired by the heroic story of Colonel Bikumalla Santosh Babu, the film is based on a chapter from the acclaimed book India's Most Fearless 3 by Shiv Aroor and Rahul Singh . According to Mid Day, Salman will start shooting in the first week of August, beginning with a key schedule at Mumbai's Mehboob Studio. Currently, the production team is hard at work constructing detailed sets at the studio. 'The set is being designed to match the emotional tone of the film's early narrative. We should be ready by the end of this month,' shared a crew member. The initial schedule is expected to last 10 to 12 days and will capture pivotal moments that lay the groundwork for Salman's character development. High Stakes in Ladakh Following the Mumbai leg, the team will move to Ladakh for the second and more physically demanding schedule. A unit insider revealed that the Ladakh shoot will involve combat training, night shoots, and full-scale simulated battle scenes. 'It's going to be intense. The action portions are designed to be realistic and emotionally charged. Mahesh Bhatt on 'Saiyaara': ‘It will rewrite the rules of romantic films'
Veteran filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt, known for shaping the trajectory of romantic cinema in India, has showered praise on Saiyaara, the upcoming directorial by his protégé and nephew Mohit Suri. Set to release on 18 July, the film marks the debut of Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, and has already begun drawing comparisons to Bhatt's own 1990 classic Aashiqui. In an interview with Mid Day, Bhatt said, 'The making of Aashiqui was an incredibly innocent experience for me. I was lucky people connected with it and turned two newcomers into overnight stars.' He was referring to Rahul Roy and Anu Aggarwal, who rose to fame following the musical success of the film. Echoing that sentiment, Bhatt believes Saiyaara carries the same potential. 'It's incredible that the film evokes memories of Aashiqui, but Saiyaara will revolutionise the standards of modern romance films. John Abraham and director Rohit Shetty have resumed filming their much-anticipated biopic on former Mumbai Police Commissioner Rakesh Maria. The film, based on Maria's compelling autobiography, has now entered its second leg of shooting, with the team planning an intense 65-day schedule across real locations in Mumbai and Wai. After a brief break following the completion of the first schedule, Shetty and Abraham are back on set — and this time, the focus is firmly on capturing the real energy of Mumbai.
