Migeon Ave in Torrington to be closed for rehab project
TORRINGTON, Conn. (WTNH) — Section of Migeon Avenue in Torrington will be closed to all traffic weekdays from 7 a.m.-5 p.m. starting on Monday, June 16, and will continue for a six-week period, the city said in a statement Monday.
The closure is part of the Migeon Avenue Rehabilitation Project. The statement noted that access to homes, driveways, and side streets within the work zones will be restricted during working hours, and advises residents should plan accordingly.

The city plans for the work will be completed in sections, starting from the north at Route 4 and progressing south. Each section will be excavated, graveled, and paved before moving on to the next.
The section between Church Street and Pearl Street will be reconstructed at night, maintaining all business access during regular daytime hours in order to avoid interruption to the businesses.
'The City appreciates the community's patience and cooperation as we complete these needed roadway improvements,' the statement said. 'Please follow all posted detour signs and observe all parking restrictions.'
