The player himself claimed Hibs tried to sign him on loan in January, but the former Bastia and Paris FC star moved to Greece instead. His £800,000 transfer to Legia last summer turned into a disappointment, when he only managed to score once in 13 appearances. However, he resurrected his career on loan at Greek top flight club Kallithea, where he netted five goals in just ten starts for a club fighting relegation. He's due to return to Poland at the end of the season, but Hibs have reportedly enquired about his availability as they look to beef up their attack for next term. Alfarela was also linked with a move to PAOK Thessaloniki and the player himself revealed Hibs were interested in the last window. He said: "I had several offers to go on loan in January. Angers were interested, along with Hibs from Scotland and Universitatea Craiova from Romania. "But I had already decided to join Kallithea. From the very beginning, I had a good feeling about the owners and that was decisive in my choice. "I have really enjoyed my football here in Greece. "I still have two years on my contract with Legia. My goal is to give my all for Kallithea and then come back stronger to Warsaw. David Gray opens up on THAT Cup Final winner for Hibs against Rangers and how he felt like a 'wild horse' as he celebrated "The club has invested a lot in me and I will do everything to repay the trust." Hibs took another step towards third place in the Premiership at the weekend. David Gray's side hit back after the previous weekend's defeat to Aberdeen by beating Dundee United 3-1. With the Dons losing to St Mirren, Hibs once again have a three-point advantage in third just as they did prior to going to Pittodrie.
