CCTV released of man police wish to speak with after teen 'raped' near library
Police have described the incident as 'extremely concerning' as they continue to investigate the allegations. A teenager girl has allegedly been raped near a library as police search for a man in connection with the incident. The 15-year-old victim was with a friend near Chertsey Library in Surrey on Friday evening when they were reportedly approached by two males. One of the men allegedly raped the girl around 7pm. The suspect is described as a teen with blonde, slicked back hair. He was also dressed in a white jumper, blue jeans and white trainers. Surrey Police has also released CCTV footage of the person in connection with the attack. In the clip, a man is seen walking on grass along the side of a building before he turns around and looks back, appearing to smile. The force are now asking members of the public who recognise the man in the footage to come forward. Detective Sergeant Mihai Kerekes said: 'Incidents of this nature are extremely concerning, and we want to reassure the public that a full investigation is underway to identify the person involved. "If you recognise him or have any information that could help us identify him, please get in touch quoting PR/45250077899.
