2025 NFL schedule: Which team has the hardest game lineup?
If you went through the Giants' 2025 schedule 'Mike and the Mad Dog'-style and felt yourself saying 'loss' quite often, turns out, you had reason to be bearish on Big Blue's outlook for the upcoming campaign. The Giants, despite having a last-place schedule after finishing at the bottom of the NFC East, have the NFL's hardest schedule for 2025 based on the team's 2024 winning percentage of .547, according to Yahoo. Advertisement The 49ers, who finished last in the NFC West, have the league's easiest 17-game slate with a .415 opposing winning percentage. The Jets have the seventh-easiest schedule with their .460 mark. The interesting tidbit in the projection for the 2025 schedule strength is that the eight toughest slates all belong to teams in the NFC East and NFC North, with the two last-place teams in the Giants and Bears (.571) having the two hardest gauntlets. The reigning division-champion Lions' opposing winning percentage is also tied with the Bears. Advertisement 4 Brian Daboll faces a hard schedule in 2025. Robert Sabo for NY Post The Giants have six games against the Cowboys, Eagles and Commanders, who combined to go 33-18 last year and 6-0 against the Giants. The Bears have six contests versus the Packers, Lions and Vikings, who combined for a 40-11 mark, while the Lions square off against the Vikings and Packers four times and also face a first-place schedule. The NFC East matches up in 2025 against the two divisions that posted the best winning percentages in 2024 in the AFC West and the NFC North, respectively. The NFC North had the best record of 45-23, while the AFC West posted a 40-28 record, thanks to three playoff teams in the Chargers, Chiefs and Broncos. Rebilas-Imagn Images Add it all up, and you have a brutal schedule for a team with a general manager in Joe Schoen and a coach in Brian Daboll, who are coming off back-to-back awful seasons. The great caveat with these schedule strengths, though, is that a previous season's record doesn't always translate into the next year. Giants 2025 schedule Week Opponent 2024 record 1 at Commanders 12-5 2 at Cowboys 7-10 3 Chiefs (MNF) 15-2 4 Chargers 11-6 5 at Saints 5-12 6 Eagles (TNF) 15-2 7 at Broncos 10-7 8 Eagles 15-2 9 49ers 6-11 10 at Bears 5-12 11 Packers 11-6 12 at Lions 15-2 13 at Patriots 4-13 14 BYE 15 Commanders 12-5 16 Vikings 16-3 17 at Raiders 4-13 18 Cowboys 7-10 Many teams surely expected the 49ers to be stout last year coming off a Super Bowl appearance, but injuries instead doomed San Francisco to the NFC West basement. The Jets thought of themselves as contenders but had almost as many firings as wins. The Vikings, meanwhile, had been considered by some as a potential No. 1 pick candidate but instead won 14 games.

Bill Belichick has ‘got to get ahold of himself' with Jordon Hudson — ex-NFL insider Pete King rips ‘embarrassing' situation
Peter King covered Bill Belichick throughout his NFL career, watching him rise from a whiz Giants assistant to arguably the greatest NFL coach of all-time with the Patriots. Seeing the notoriously cagey Belichick now becoming involved in all this drama connected to his 24-year-old girlfriend Jordon Hudson, especially with her recent much-scrutinized role in his disastrous 'CBS Sunday Morning' interview, has shocked the retired NFL insider — and left him quite critical of the North Carolina coach. 'This is a guy who owned every room he ever walked into and now he's got a 24-year-old muse telling him what to do or trying to control situations that quite frankly she has nothing to do with or should have nothing to do with,' King said on the 'Sports Media with Richard Deitsch' podcast published Thursday. 'Bill's got to get a hold of himself here. He's got to get a hold of this situation. This is embarrassing. It's totally embarrassing for a guy who's as great at his job as he is.' 5 Hudson off to the side during the 'CBS Sunday Mornings' interview. CBS Belichick and Hudson's relationship has become one of the biggest storylines in all of sports, especially after her interference in his recent interview to discuss his upcoming book. Hudson interrupted interviewer Tony Dokoupil after he asked how they first met, saying that would not be discussed, and the segment labeled her as a 'constant presence' in their interview. Belichick later accused CBS of 'selective editing' and defended Hudson's role in the interview. 'This would've been a 'Mike and the Mad Dog' spectacular back in the old days,' King said of the drama. 5 Peter King in an Instagram post from 2022. @ Page Six also reported that Hudson 'forced' her way into the Dunkin' Donuts commercial featuring Belichick and Ben Affleck, among others. Reports have emerged stating North Carolina is 'concerned,' while some in Belichick's camp told The Post that they see the former collegiate cheerleader as a 'runaway train.' Former Patriots offensive lineman Ted Johnson said North Carolina should consider firing Belichick, his daughter-in-law criticized Hudson and even friend Charles Barkley said he's a 'little concerned.' 5 Hudson with Belichick during his infamous CBS interview. CBS It's all a stark contrast to the Belichick which King and others chronicled during his NFL days. King and Belichick no longer had a relationship as of two years ago, with the two falling apart following the SpyGate controversy that rocked the NFL world. 'That's the cost of doing business sometimes,' King told The Athletic in 2023. 'He's one of the greatest coaches of all time. I'm not sure I put him above Paul Brown, but he's right up there with the greatest to ever coach in any sport. But I think what he did in 2007 was wrong.' 5 Belichick and Hudson in February 2025. Getty Images King also ripped Belichick for conducting the interview, meant to publicize his upcoming book, 'The Art of Winning: Lessons from My Life in Football', while wearing a ripped sweatshirt. '(He) goes on Sunday morning television with a sweatshirt on with a hole in it,' King said, 'but then why … a couple days after this, why does TMZ have him walking out of the Ritz-Carlton hotel, I think in New York, in a perfectly tailored blue suit. Why? Where is he going? And why is he on a national TV show looking like he's going to a press conference in Foxborough on no sleep.' 5 Belichick did not dress up for the interview. CBS King believes Belichick looked like an 'idiot' and did not convince viewers to buy his book, although he did offer praise for the contents. 'That was a terrible look in the first place, but in general if you're going to be promoting a book, or you're going to be doing interviews, you can't the sullen, disinterested person that Bill Belichick was for CBS,' King said of Belichick's roughly eight-minute interview. 'You just shouldn't do it then. Why do it? Anyone who watched that piece, anyone. For me, if I'm watching that, 'I'm not buying that idiot's book. Why would I buy this guy? I hate this guy.' That is going to be the impression I get. 'Now, I think there's a lot of good of stuff in the book.'
