Miley Cyrus just gave fans a new look into the world of Something Beautiful, with the pop star unveiling her visual album film's official trailer — featuring a snippet of an unreleased song — on Thursday (May 22). Posted three weeks ahead of the movie's theatrical release, the trailer opens with Cyrus cloaked in a black ensemble and wearing a bright red lip, staring intensely into the camera. It then cuts to a montage of clips of the Grammy winner frolicking through the streets and performing with a fleet of backup dancers on a circular staircase as she sings 'Easy Lover,' one of the unreleased songs on Something Beautiful's tracklist. The trailer arrives just more than a week ahead of Cyrus' new album, which will drop May 30 via Columbia Records. The project features previously released singles 'Prelude,' 'Something Beautiful,' 'End of the World' and 'More to Lose.' The LP's accompanying film will then premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York City on June 6. Shortly after that, it will show in theaters for one night only in the United States and Canada on June 12, followed by another single-day screening worldwide on June 27. When she first announced that Something Beautiful was headed to theaters, she shared a different preview of the project, featuring the Hannah Montana alum rolling around on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and kissing her boyfriend and collaborator, Maxx Morando. Cyrus also recently unveiled the album's tracklist, revealing that collaborations with Brittany Howard and Naomi Campbell will be on the set. Madonna Biopic Series With Shawn Levy in the Works at Netflix: Report

The Queen of Pop might be getting her own TV series. Music icon Madonna is working with Shawn Levy to develop a limited series at Netflix, according to a new report by Deadline. Levy and Madonna have been talking about working together for some time, according to the report, and the series is unrelated to a paused film biopic that was being developed at Universal with Julia Garner in the lead role. (That film was put on an indefinite hold ahead of her massive Celebration tour.) His company 21 Laps has an exclusive TV deal at Netflix. Reps for Netflix did not immediately respond to Rolling Stone's request for comment. Madonna's rep declined to comment. 'I have a very long script that is really hard for me to make shorter. I've been whittling away at it, but it's like hacking off my limbs,' Madonna told Variety in 2022 about the film. 'I've had an extraordinary life, I must make an extraordinary film. It was also a preemptive strike because a lot of people were trying to make movies about me. Mostly misogynistic men. So I put my foot in the door and said, 'No one's going to tell my story but me.'' It's unclear what period of Madonna's career the television series will focus on, although Garner is 'still being engaged' on the new project. Madonna has previously hinted at the biopic being turned into a TV series. 'After struggling for days in LA, listening to producers and agents tell me why I couldn't make my film —I (been working on it for 4 years!!!),' she said in a now-deleted post from November. 'I realized that everything in my life is going to be challenged.' She added at the time: 'I did not have a normal life. I cannot make this in the normal way … We cannot shrink and make ourselves smaller. If you want something badly enough in life — the whole universe will conspire to [help] you get it.' Sesame Street Is Relocating to Netflix

Elmo's brief unemployment era is over. Sesame Street has found a new home at Netflix following the expiration of its contract with Warner Bros. Discovery, which began in 2016 when new episodes went into production at HBO after the Public Broadcasting Service, or PBS, could no longer afford the expenses required to keep the series afloat. 'We are excited to announce that all new Sesame Street episodes are coming to @netflix worldwide along with library episodes, and new episodes will also release the same day on @PBS Stations and@PBSKIDS platforms in the US, preserving a 50+ year relationship,' Netflix shared in a statement published on social media. 'The support of Netflix, PBS, and the Corporation for Public Broadcasting serve as a unique public-private partnership to enable Sesame Street to continue to help children everywhere grow smarter, stronger, and kinder.' Netflix plans to close the gap with its same-day release schedule beginning with Season 56. The uncertain fate of the beloved children's series reached a depressing turning point when a LinkedIn post claimed that Elmo, who is perpetually three years old, lost his job. 'Hi LinkedIn, unfortunately Elmo was recently laid off because of the federal budget cuts,' the post read. 'Elmo worked at Sesame Street for 45 years. Elmo is sad. Elmo loved his time at Sesame Street.' On May 1, Trump announced an executive order demanding the end of all federal funding for NPR and PBS, on the grounds that they allegedly 'receive millions from taxpayers to spread radical, woke propaganda disguised as 'news,'' according to a White House social media post. The Ready to Learn program, which provided $23 million in funding for educational kids' shows and games, was among the targeted grant cancellations, per the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. Kneecap Band Member Liam O'Hanna Charged With Terror Offense in the U.K.

Kneecap band member Liam O'Hanna has been charged with a terror offense by London police after he allegedly waved a Hezbollah flag onstage, according to the BBC. The charge comes about six months after the alleged incident, during which the 27-year-old Irish musician — whose stage name is Mo Chara — is said to have displayed the flag during his band's gig at the O2 Forum on Nov. 21, 2024. The London Metropolitan Police only learned of the alleged offense in April, when a video of the concert surfaced online. The same goes for Hamas, a Palestinian terrorist organization that Hezbollah has backed amid the former's ongoing conflict with Israel. O'Hanna is reportedly due to appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court on June 18. The update is just the latest development in a series of controversies for Kneecap, which made headlines in April for ending its Coachella set with the following message displayed onscreen: 'Israel is committing genocide against the Palestinian people. It is being enabled by the U.S. government who arm and fund Israel despite their war crimes. F— Israel; free Palestine.' While some criticized the Coachella message, some fellow musicians — including Massive Attack, Pulp and Fontaines D.C. — expressed support for the group in an open letter. The Belfast trio has been one of the most outspoken voices in the music world in supporting Palestine amid Israel's war on Hamas, which began Oct. 7, 2023, when the terrorist group killed 1,200 Israelis and kidnapped 250 more. More than 53,000 Palestinians have since died in the violence, according to The Associated Press. Kneecap again drew criticism when footage of the group allegedly calling for the deaths of British MPs (members of parliament) in 2023 resurfaced online in April, shortly after London authorities announced that they were assessing a video taken of a band member appearing to say 'up Hamas, up Hezbollah.' Around that time, Kneecap released a statement: 'Let us be unequivocal: we do not, and have never, supported Hamas or Hezbollah,' the band wrote. 'We condemn all attacks on civilians, always. It is never okay. We know this more than anyone, given our nation's history. We also reject any suggestion that we would seek to incite violence against any MP or individual. Ever. An extract of footage, deliberately taken out of all context, is now being exploited and weaponised, as if it were a call to action.' 'We also reject any suggestion that we would seek to incite violence against any MP or individual,' it continued. 'Ever. An extract of footage, deliberately taken out of all context, is now being exploited and weaponised, as if it were a call to action.' Karol G releases new song 'Milagros' to celebrate Netflix documentary Tomorrow Was Beautiful

Global reggaeton star Karol G is celebrating a major milestone with the release of her Netflix documentary Tomorrow Was Beautiful and a brand-new track titled 'Milagros.' The heartfelt song debuts during the film's closing credits and marks her first music release of 2025. Premiering this week, Tomorrow Was Beautiful chronicles Karol G's journey from rising artist to international Latin music sensation. The documentary dives into the personal and professional highs and lows, especially highlighting her sold-out Mañana Será Bonito tour and the barriers she broke as a woman in reggaeton. Karol G announced 'Milagros' via her Instagram story, posting shortly after the documentary hit Netflix. 'I'll leave this here so you can listen to it when you wake up,' she wrote. The track shifts away from her reggaeton roots, leaning into a reflective folk-pop sound featuring acoustic guitar and flute. With lyrics like 'Every time I wake up I realize how blessed I am,' the song serves as a tribute to her fans and the journey that shaped her. Earlier in the week, Karol G attended the New York premiere of her film, wearing a gold dress and sharing her excitement online. 'I feel in the bottom of my heart that my life has a new beginning,' she wrote, teasing a fresh artistic chapter. 'Milagros' follows 2024 releases like 'Si Antes Te Hubiera Conocido' and the collaborative single '+57,' reaffirming Karol's evolving sound and connection with fans around the world.
