Man charged with 10 counts of exploitation of a minor
A man has been charged in connection with the exploitation of a minor, according to the Mooresville Police Department. On April 25, police responded to the Waterlynn subdivision after receiving reports about material involving children being located at a suspect's home. Officials said electronic devices were seized from the residence, and further investigation is being conducted. Police said Morgan was charged with 10 counts of second-degree exploitation of a minor and 10 counts of third-degree exploitation of a minor. Mooresville man lands 20 counts related to possession of child sexual abuse material
MOORESVILLE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A Mooresville man was charged last week with 20 counts related to possession of child sexual abuse material. According to the Mooresville Police Department, officers responded April 25 to the Waterlynn subdivision in reference to a report of explicit material involving children being located on a subject's devices. The department's Criminal Investigation Division reportedly located the reporting party as well as the reported Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM). Former Davidson College employee faces more peeping charges after alleged victim identifies herself in videos Upon discovery of this material, officers arrested 33-year-old Miles Reid Morgan, and conducted a search warrant on his residence. Additional electronic devices were reportedly seized from the residence and further investigation is being conducted. Morgan was charged with 10 counts of second-degree exploitation of a minor and 10 counts of third-Degree Exploitation of a Minor. He was transported to the Iredell County Detention Center where he received a $1.2 million secured bond.
