Arlington County homeowner warns about 'ding-dong ditch' pranks
The Brief A group of teens were caught on a doorbell camera going up to a man's Arlington County home, banging on the door and running away. The man says he's frustrated that they did it, but also says he's concerned something could happen if they keep this up. ARLINGTON COUNTY, Va. - A northern Virginia man says he's frustrated by a group of teens who did a version of "ding-dong ditch," banging on his door while dressed in ski masks and running away. He says he's also worried that something could happen to the kids if they keep this up—and bang on the wrong door. What we know Arlington County police are investigating. According to a report, officers responded to the man's home in the 5000 block of 38th Street, North, just before 11 p.m. on Memorial Day. "The first thing I did was call 911, made sure my baby was OK and then ran downstairs to see what was going on," homeowner Ryan Morgan told FOX 5. Police say a group of juveniles, wearing hoodies and a ski mask, knocked on the door of a residence before running away. The responding officers checked the area but did not locate the juveniles involved. The teens were caught on the homeowner's doorbell camera. One was dressed in an orange shirt and the other two were in hooded sweatshirts, banging on the front door repeatedly, The homeowner says he's sick of teens doing this in his Arlington County neighborhood and he is concerned that something bad could happen to them. What some would view as kids being kids or pranks is more serious to this homeowner. "When someone knocks on your door with a ski mask, you're concerned," said Morgan. When I saw that is was teenagers, I was more concerned for their safety because, you know, someone could have a gun, or, threaten them in some way." Dig deeper Just weeks ago, a teen was shot and killed in another Virginia neighborhood when he and his friends were reportedly recording themselves doing a TikTok 'Ding-dong Ditch' challenge. The deadly shooting happened around 3 a.m. on Saturday, May 3. READ MORE:Teen shot, killed by Virginia homeowner was reportedly doing TikTok challenge The Spotsylvania County Sheriff's Office says the teens were attempting to burglarize the Butlers' house when 18-year-old Massaponax High School senior Michael Bosworth was shot and killed. One of the two juveniles with him was shot and wounded. They told investigators they were recording themselves doing a "ding-dong ditch" as part of a TikTok challenge. READ MORE: Homeowner arrested for murder in high school student's death during alleged break-in One of Butler's neighbors who spoke with FOX 5 said his home surveillance system captured video of three teens coming up to his house not long before the shooting. The video showed the teens banging, kicking and slamming on the neighbor's garage door — not just ringing the doorbell. Tyler Butler, 27, was charged with second-degree murder, malicious wounding and using a firearm in the commission of a felony. His next court date is June 18.

High Schooler Came Out as Gay Online. Days Later She Was Suspended and Banned from Graduation: Lawsuit
In April, Morgan Armstrong, a graduating senior at Tennessee Christian Preparatory School, came out publicly and announced on social media post that she was in a relationship with a woman A lawsuit filed by the student and her parents alleged that days later, the school suspended her and banned her from attending graduation In a statement, a school official denied the allegations made in Armstrong's lawsuit, calling them 'misleading"A student has filed a lawsuit against her high school, alleging that she was suspended, banned from campus and prohibited from attending graduation after coming out as gay on social media and revealing she had a girlfriend. According to a complaint obtained by PEOPLE and filed on May 19, Morgan Armstrong, an 18-year-old graduating senior at Tennessee Christian Preparatory School, made the social media post on April 23, writing "cats outta the bag." A screenshot of the post, which was included in the complaint, showed Armstrong and her girlfriend kissing and holding hands. In an interview with The Washington Post, Armstrong defended the post. 'Everyone else gets to post their boyfriend or girlfriend. So just because I have a girlfriend and I'm a girl, why does that mean that I shouldn't be able to?" she asked. "I love my girlfriend and I wanted to show it.' Days after making the post, Armstrong was summoned to the administrator's office and given a suspension letter, according to the complaint. The suspension letter, which was included in the complaint, stated that Armstrong would not be allowed on campus or any school events, including but not limited to graduation, which took place on May 10. Although the school said that her diploma will be mailed to her on June 15, the complaint alleged that the school "explicitly threatened to sabotage Morgan's college admissions process and to withhold Morgan's diploma" if there was any "online slander" about the school or anybody associated with it. Never miss a story — sign up for to stay up-to-date on the best of what PEOPLE has to offer, from celebrity news to compelling human interest stories Additionally, the school alleged in the letter that Morgan's social media posting included "a disparaging remark reflecting the people at Tennessee Christian," a claim that Armstrong disputes. The complaint claimed that her suspension letter mentioned a private message that the senior sent to some of her friends that read: 'go like and comment on my post guys bc if no one on my socials knew I was gay then they sure as hell do now so this is a big thing tbh, also I'm kinda scared about the facebook comments bc i have some ruthless trump supporting 'jesus' mfs on there.' However, according to the complaint, that message did not refer to the school, but instead to some of Armstrong's relatives — people who, according to Armstrong, 'profess but do not practice Christian principles of love, acceptance, and compassion.' The complaint alleged the real reason why the school suspended her 'was the fact that she had come out as gay" — and that even if she had violated the school's social media policy, since this would have been a first-time offense, the maximum policy should have been a 1 day in-school suspension. In a statement shared with NBC affiliate WRCB, the school rejected the allegations made in Armstrong's lawsuit, calling them 'misleading.' 'Despite this supposed legal dispute, Tennessee Christian remains fully committed to delivering Morgan Armstrong's diploma. Our goal continues to be the academic and personal success of each student, even in the face of conflict or disagreement. We wish Morgan Armstrong the very best as she continues her academics in college,' wrote Jared Tilley, Tennessee Christian's head of school. PEOPLE contacted Tennessee Christian Preparatory School for comment on Thursday, May 29. Armstrong and her parents, who are named co-plaintiffs in the suit, are seeking to expunge Armstrong's suspension record and disciplinary violation, allow her to take her final exams, forbid the school from withholding her diploma and prohibit the school from 'sabotaging' Armstrong's college admissions process. 'School is a place where every student is entitled to feel welcome, accepted, and supported,' Daniel A. Horwitz, Armstrong's attorney, said in a statement 'It is not a place where any administrator should feel comfortable disciplining kids for being gay or threatening to sabotage their college admissions process.' Unruly Female Passenger Tackled By Police After Reportedly Getting Caught Vaping on Flight, Headbutting Doors
A Ryanair flight from Tenerife, Spain, to Glasgow, Scotland, was diverted after a woman who was allegedly caught vaping on board caused a disturbance Video captured by fellow passenger shows her being handcuffed and restrained by police. In a second clip off the plane, she flails wildly in her restraints and is seemingly thrown to the ground Fellow passengers claim the woman was intoxicated and harassed others for hours before being removedA passenger on a Ryanair flight was forcibly removed from the aircraft after she was allegedly caught vaping — and the incident only escalated from there. During a Sunday, May 18, flight from Tenerife, Spain, en route to Glasgow, Scotland, a woman was approached by security personnel for allegedly smoking an e-cigarette on the aircraft, a representative for Ryanair confirmed to DublinLive. After being accused, the woman reportedly became violent. "Upon being approached by PSP officers, the passenger became aggressive and uncooperative. Showing visible signs of intoxication, she had to be escorted off the aircraft," a police spokesperson told the outlet. "While inside the airport bus, the individual began kicking and headbutting the doors and windows. For her own safety and that of the officers involved, it was necessary to restrain her on the ground and apply handcuffs. Even after being handcuffed, the passenger continued to behave aggressively, repeatedly banging her head against the bus window. A fellow passenger, Blair Morgan, 18, recorded the incident and shared video on TikTok. In the clips, the woman can be seen being escorted off the plane and onto the tarmac in handcuffs, where she continued to put up a fight with officials. On the airport shuttle bus, she flails around wildly and police officers lunge at her and ultimately wrestle her to the ground. PEOPLE reached out to Ryanair and airport police but did not receive an immediately reply. Though Morgan's TikTok, which has now amassed nearly 2 million views, is only 14 seconds and shows what seems to be a small portion of the extended incident, others who claim to have been on the flight sounded off in the comment section with more details. 'I was on this flight she deserves everything that happened to her she brought it on herself,' one commenter began. 'The police were completely fair with at the start it was her who started being violent towards them not to mention the fact she was hitting and harassing other passengers on the flight including my sister who was sat next to her. Honestly got no sympathy for this woman.' Another person who says they are a father of three who was aboard the flight, gave his perspective on the situation as one of his daughters was also allegedly sitting near the woman. 'For 2 hours on this flight she verbally abused staff and other passengers. She verbally and physically abused one of my daughters for quite some time,' the poster began. ' Because of her actions the plane was redirected and everyone else on that plane suffered due to her being a selfish and self centred a******.' The commenter goes on to add, 'The police were within their rights to put this lady on the deck as she was kicking them multiple times on the shuttle bus. She was never alone on the bus with 3 male officers which [some] people seem concerned about. This is because her spineless boyfriend was with her on that bus and plane and sat 2 rows away."
