EuroMillions jackpot rolls over again after nobody claims £185,000,000 prize
Tonight's EuroMillions draw has ended without anyone claiming the huge jackpot. The prize pot had reached a massive £185,000,000 in time for tonight's draw – but the results show nobody has matched the winning numbers. Tonight's National Lottery EuroMillions winning numbers are 4, 7, 14, 33, 36, 1 and 5 as the lucky stars. Nobody has matched all five winning numbers and both lucky stars in order to claim the jackpot, meaning it will roll over to next Tuesday's draw, June 3. And it looks like the prize pot could soon rival the largest ever EuroMillions jackpot. A lucky player in Austria managed to scoop the £209,300,000 prize after the jackpot rolled over seven times in a row. Successful players in the UK include two British people who bagged the EuroMillions jackpot of £83,000,000 in January and the £65,000,000 jackpot in February. Even though nobody won the jackpot tonight, there are still plenty of people who have won some cash. There are 18 ticket holders who matched all five numbers but no lucky stars, meaning they will receive a prize of £11,422.70. Some 59 people matched four balls and two lucky stars, giving them a prize of £1,085.40, while just over 1,300 people matched four numbers and one star, for a prize of £89.80. Plus, one person, with the code MJTF42151, has just been made a millionaire thanks to the Millionaire Maker selection. But while many people may think that winning the large sum of money may be a blessing, it can also be a curse. Studies in the US have found that people are more likely to declare bankruptcy within three to five years compared to the average citizen. The pressure may also cause somebody to spiral into depression and lead to alcohol and drug abuse. 'I spent £600 on National Lottery Scratchcards and what I won amazed me'
'I spent £600 on National Lottery Scratchcards and what I won amazed me' After splashing out a jaw-dropping £600 on 120 £5 National Lottery Millionaire Maker Scratchcards, a Brit took to social media to reveal whether he had made any profit A man who bought 120 National Lottery Millionaire Maker Scratchcards has revealed his winnings (Image:) A man who purchased £600 worth of National Lottery Scratchcards has revealed how much he won on social media. After spending an eye-watering amount of money on 120 Millionaire Maker game cards, Jax took to TikTok to reveal he purchased the pile of £5 cards that offer a 1 in 3.03 chance of winning various cash prizes. In a video posted to TikTok, Jax said: "I'm about to scratch 120 Millionaire Maker Scratchcards - this could take a while. Let's hope the first one is a winner... the answer to that is no, let's hope there aren't too many more like this." Halfway through the reveal Jax admitted he had spent £1,100 on scratch cards within two months, he persisted until the end, displaying both piles once again. In the end, he concluded with a sobering reveal: "So, I spent £600 on these Scratchcards - and the return was £360. That's a loss of £240." He wrapped up with words of warning, encouraging viewers to steer clear of gambling temptations, adding: "Stay away from the Scratchcards - you think you're going to win, but you're just not. Please don't gamble." Agreeing with Jax's wisdom, one TikTok user admitted: "They are terrible things. I used to spend at least a tenner per day buying them. Haven't bought one since 1st January. Been putting £10 per day in a tin. Christmas sorted." Article continues below Echoing the sentiment, another shared their experience: "I used to work in a Spar shop when I was in uni. Watching people waste hundreds on lottery taught me all I needed to know. Never bought a lottery ticket in my life." A third person commented: "I've never seen anyone make a profit on a video like this ever, poor man's tax." Meanwhile, a fourth declared: "Same as any gambling, the house always wins." In contrast, however, one individual chimed in with a positive story, writing: "A family friend won £250,000 a few years back, with his last 4 quid he bought two £2 ones." Article continues below Jax's experiments, however, saw him obtain a £420 return from an outlay of £600 worth of scratchcards in March, whereas in April, he recouped £340 after investing £500. Summing up, Jax has spent a total of £1,700 and won £1,120 - resulting in a net loss of £580. Man spends £600 on National Lottery scratchcards and is left gobsmacked by what he won TikTok user Jax has shared a video of himself scratching 120 of the National Lottery's Millionaire Maker scratchcards - and was shocked by the outcome A man who bought 120 National Lottery Millionaire Maker Scratchcards has revealed his winnings (Image:) A man has shared his experience after spending a staggering £600 on National Lottery Millionaire Maker scratchcards in pursuit of the dreamy £1 million top prize. With odds standing at 1 in 3.03 for various cash awards, TikTok user Jax set off on an endeavour to outwit the odds, teasingly annotating his video: "Can't believe how much I won." Kicking off his scratch card marathon, he said: "I'm about to scratch 120 Millionaire Maker scratchcards - this could take a while. Let's hope the first one is a winner... the answer to that is no, let's hope there aren't too many more like this." Speeding through to the "halfway point" of his adventure, Jax showed the glaring disparity between his hefty "loser pile" and considerably tinier "winner pile". For money-saving tips, sign up to our Money newsletter here Having shelled out £1,100 on similar ventures over the previous two months, Jax pressed on with his scratch card quest, only to reveal a disappointing outcome, the Mirror has reported. He said: "So I spent £600 on these Scratchcards - and the return was £360. That's a loss of £240. "Stay away from the Scratchcards - you think you're going to win, but you're just not. Please don't gamble." Article continues below One TikTok viewer shared: "They are terrible things. I used to spend at least a tenner per day buying them. Haven't bought one since 1st January. Never bought a lottery ticket in my life." Another person accepted the grim reality saying: "I've never seen anyone make a profit on a video like this ever, poor man's tax." Another viewer added: "Same as any gambling, the house always wins." But, striking a different note, one UK resident reminisced about a positive outcome: "A family friend won £250,000 a few years back, with his last 4 quid he bought two £2 ones." Article continues below But Jax's wins in March, however, resulted in a £420 return from £600 worth of scratchcards, whilst in April he clawed back £340 after spending £500. Overall, that's £1,700 spent with winnings of £1,120 - an overall loss of £580.
