When is XO, Kitty season 3 releasing? Everything we know so far

By Aman Shukla Published on July 18, 2025, 18:00 IST Last updated July 18, 2025, 10:49 IST Okay, XO, Kitty fans, let's talk about Season 3! After that wild Season 2 finale left us all screaming at our screens, we're dying to know when Kitty Song Covey's next adventure hits Netflix. Will she finally sort out her messy love life? What's next for her at KISS? Here's the lowdown on everything we know about XO, Kitty Season 3—release date, cast, plot, and all the juicy details. When Can We Expect XO, Kitty Season 3? No exact date yet, but the word on the street is early 2026—think March or maybe April. Unlike the long wait between Seasons 1 and 2 (ugh, those 2023 strikes!), Season 3's turnaround is faster. They started shooting in April 2025 and finished by July, so they're probably editing like crazy right now. My bet? We'll get a springtime drop, perfect for a sunny vibe to match the rumored summer episode Who's in the Cast of XO, Kitty Season 3? The core cast is expected to return, bringing back the beloved characters from KISS. Confirmed returning actors include: Anna Cathcart as Kitty Song Covey, the lovable matchmaker navigating her heart and family ties. Sang Heon Lee as Min Ho, Kitty's potential love interest after their Season 2 cliffhanger. Minyeong Choi as Dae, Kitty's ex-boyfriend and close friend. Gia Kim as Yuri, whose romantic arc with Kitty may be paused but remains a fan favorite. Anthony Keyvan as Q, Kitty's supportive best friend. Regan Aliyah as Juliana, Yuri's ex-girlfriend. Peter Thurnwald as Alex, Kitty's mentor and friend. Sasha Bhasin as Praveena, a newer friend in Kitty's circle. Joshua Lee as Jin, a recurring character now a series regular. Han Bi Ryu as Eunice, Sunny Oh as Mihee, and Michael K. Lee as Professor Lee. New faces are joining the show, with Sule Thelwell as Marius (a series regular), and Soy Kim as Yisoo and Christine Hwang as Gigi in recurring roles. However, Audrey Huynh (Stella/Esther) is unlikely to return after her character's Season 2 exit to the US. Similarly, Peniel Shin (Joon Ho, Min Ho's brother) and Philippe Lee (Mr. Moon) may not appear, as they weren't listed in official cast updates. Fans are also hoping for another cameo from To All the Boys star Noah Centineo as Peter Kavinsky, though his Season 2 appearance was a one-off due to filming The Recruit in South Korea. A return from Lana Condor as Lara Jean is a long shot but remains a dream for fans. What Will XO, Kitty Season 3 Be About? Season 2 ended with a major moment: Kitty realizing she's got it bad for Min Ho, only to find out he's sworn off dating after the Stella drama. Instead of spilling her feelings, she impulsively joins him on his brother's summer tour. So, expect a big summer adventure before Kitty's senior year at KISS! Jessica O'Toole teased a special summer episode, which sounds like a fun change from the usual school vibe. Romance is defo front and center. Kitty and Min Ho's 'MoonCovey' slow-burn is giving everyone life, and with 'lots of kissing' promised, we're hoping they finally get together. That said, Kitty's past with Yuri might still stir things up, even though Anna Cathcart said their story feels 'closed for now' in a Tudum interview. Outside of love stuff, Kitty's digging deeper into her family roots. After reconnecting her grandma and great-aunt last season, she's got a cousin and more family in Korea to explore. Plus, Yuri's dealing with some family drama over a lawsuit, so expect some non-romantic tension too. Ahmedabad Plane Crash Aman Shukla is a post-graduate in mass communication . ‘XO, Kitty' Reveals New Cast And New Showrunner As Season 3 Wraps Production

Season 3 of XO, Kitty has wrapped production in Seoul, South Korea, and Netflix revealed the addition of three new cast members, the promotion of a recurring player as well as the appointment of a new showrunner for the upcoming installment. Sule Thelwell (Saint X), Soy Kim (Like a French Film, Sorry Not Sorry) and Christine Hwang (Law and Order: SVU) have joined the cast, and Hojo Shin, who plays Jiwon, has been upped to a series regular. Valentina Garza serves as showrunner for Season 3, taking over for Jessica O'Toole who oversaw Season 2. More from Deadline 'XO, Kitty' Cast Guide: Who Plays Who In The K-Drama Spinoff? 'XO, Kitty' Season 2 Showrunner Jessica O'Toole Reveals How That Noah Centineo Cameo Came Together 'Fixed' Trailer: Netflix Unveils Director's Cut Taster For Genndy Tartakovsky's R-Rated Comedy About A Randy Dog The showrunner change is somewhat surprising as O'Toole was featured in the February renewal announcement, teasing what is to come in Season 3. At the time, the new season was already being written; Garza was named showrunner in the spring, just before or around the time production on Season 3 started in May, sources said. She had been a writer on Seasons 2 and 3 and penned the Season 2 finale. Thelwel has been cast as a series regular and will portray Marius. Kim and Hwang will recur as Yisoo and Gigi, respectively. Eagle-eyed viewers may recall that Marius is the name of Q's (Anthony Keyvan) former roommate, and there is some lore there. The returning cast includes Anna Cathcart (Kitty Song Covey), Minyeong Choi (Dae), Gia Kim (Yuri), Sang Heon Lee (Min Ho), Regan Aliyah (Juliana), Hojo Shin (Jiwon), Peter Thurnwald (Alex), Joshua Lee (Jin), Sasha Bhasin (Praveena), Michael K. Lee (Professor Lee), Philippe Lee (Mr. Moon), Jocelyn Shelfo (Madison), Han Bi Ryu (Eunice) and Sunny Oh (Mihee). RELATED: At the end of Season 2, Kitty found herself asking to tag along with Min Ho (Lee) as his father and brother left on a music tour for the summer. The hopeful moment suggested that the romantic spark between them might finally have an opportunity to develop into a relationship. Min Ho had confessed his love for Kitty at the end of Season 1, but she had just ended things with Dae (Choi) who was one of the main reasons she went all the way to South Korea to study abroad in the first place. Kitty had done this because of feelings she started having for Yuri (Kim). New faces last season included Sasha Bhasin's Praveena, Philippe Lee's Mr. Moon and Joshua Lee's Jin. Noah Centineo also stopped by to make a cameo midway through the sophomore installment and give Kitty a pep talk. The Season 3 renewal of the series came on Valentine's Day this year, almost a month after Season 2 arrived on Netflix. XO, Kitty Renewed for Season 3

Kitty Song Covey's days of matchmaking are far from over: Netflix has renewed the YA series XO, Kitty for Season 3, TVLine has learned. 'I'm so excited to head back to Seoul for another season with our incredible cast and crew. If you thought junior year at KISS brought the drama…just wait,' showrunner Jessica O'Toole says in a statement. 'I know we left fans on a cliffhanger at the end of Season 2 but I can promise season 3 will be worth the wait, including our first summer episode — not to mention plenty of romance, friendship, adventure…and kissing. Lots of kissing.' More from TVLine XO, Kitty Boss Teases 'Exciting Possibilities' for Kitty and Min Ho After Finale — But What About Yuri? XO, Kitty Boss Talks Noah Centineo's Visit, That Peter/Lara Jean Update and More To All the Boys Cameos TVLine Items: Dungeons & Dragons Netflix Series, Martha Stewart's NBC Cooking Competition and More Watch the official announcement video below: View this post on Instagram A post shared by Netflix US (@netflix) A spinoff of the To All the Boys I've Loved Before movie franchise, the show features Anna Cathcart, reprising her film role of teen matchmaker Kitty Song Covey, who travels across the world to attend KISS (Korean Independent School of Seoul), the same institution where her late mother had a scholarship. There, she reunites with her long-distance boyfriend Dae (Minyeong Choi), but their relationship doesn't last long because he has a fake girlfriend, Yuri (Gia Kim), for whom Kitty eventually develops feelings. Complicating the love triangle is Dae's best friend, Min Ho (Sang Heon Lee), who falls for Kitty. In Season 2 — which dropped Jan. 16 — Kitty wrote a letter to Yuri about her feelings for her and locked it away, but the note got out, thanks to Kitty's treacherous new roommate and Min Ho's girlfriend, Stella (Audrey Huynh). Adding to the drama, Kitty and Yuri shared a kiss while the latter was still dating Juliana (Regan Aliyah). In the hopes of reuniting with her girlfriend, Yuri, initially, pushed Kitty away as a friend. Meanwhile, Kitty developed a deeper friendship with Min Ho, who came through for her in the search for her family in South Korea. As the two grew closer, Kitty even admitted to herself that she has feelings for Min Ho. But rather than outright confessing them, the Season 2 finale concluded with Kitty asking Min Ho if she could accompany him on tour during their summer break before she returns to KISS for another year. Reflecting on that last scene, O'Toole told TVLine that the Kitty/Min Ho exchange 'means we're going to see things from them that we haven't seen before. It means all kinds of exciting possibilities,' she shared. 'But it's XO, Kitty. It's K-drama-inspired. There's always twists and turns. There's genuine reasons that anything that happens will be complicated. But it's going to be fun and exciting, whatever it is.' O'Toole also isn't ruling out the possibility of the Kitty/Min Ho/Yuri love triangle resurfacing, even though Kitty seemingly chose Min Ho. 'I don't think that those things are ever over,' she added. That said, 'there is duplicity involved when [Yuri and Kitty] kiss, and they hide it. When the foundation is kind of off like that, it's something that I think Kitty, instinctively, as a good person, knows that she kind of has to move on from. And Yuri doesn't treat her well afterwards. They're both doing the right thing, [which] is to step back and repair their friendship after what happened.' The cast also includes Anthony Keyvan as Q, Peter Thurnwald as Alex, Philippe Lee as Mr. Moon, Jocelyn Shelfo as Madison, Michael K. Lee as Professor Lee, Sasha Bhasin as Praveena and Joshua Lee as Jin. fans, hit the comments with your reactions to the news! When Is Your Favorite TV Show Back?
