IIT JAM 2026 registration from Sept 5, exam on Feb 15: Check important details
The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay has launched the official website for the Joint Admission Test for Masters (JAM) 2026. The online application window will open on September 5, 2025, and candidates will be able to apply through the official website at
As per the website, the JAM 2026 examination will be held on February 15, 2026. IIT Bombay has also released the tentative schedule of important dates, paper-wise session timings, and examination city zones.

According to information available on the official website, the exam will be held on February 15, 2026. The results will be announced on March 20, tentatively.

The tentative session-wise schedule for the JAM 2026 examination is as follows:
JAM is a national-level entrance examination for candidates seeking admission to MSc, Joint MSc–PhD, MSc—PhD dual degree, and other postgraduate science programmes offered by the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and participating institutions.
Candidates who qualify in the JAM 2026 examination will be eligible to apply for admission to academic programmes offered by participating institutes, provided they meet the required Eligibility Requirements (ERs) and Minimum Educational Qualifications (MEQs) as prescribed by the respective institutions.
In addition to the IITs, the JAM 2026 score is also expected to be accepted by several other institutions including the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bengaluru, Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISERs), Indian Institute of Petroleum and Energy (IIPE), Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research (JNCASR), and Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs) such as the National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology (IIEST) Shibpur, Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology (SLIET), and Defence Institute of Advanced Technology (DIAT) through the Centraliaed Counselling for MSc/MSc (Tech.) Admission (CCMN) process.
