Global Youth at Nasser Fellowship Voice Support for Palestinian Statehood

Pasant Elzaitony As part of the Fifth Edition of the Gamal Abdel Nasser Fellowship for International Leadership, under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and within the framework of the Egypt International Forum, the Ministry of Youth and Sports organized a seminar titled "The Palestinian Cause: Vision and Analysis." The event was moderated by Sherif Gad, Director of Cultural Activities at the Russian Cultural Center, and featured key speakers including Dr. Saeed Abu Ali, former Palestinian Minister of Interior and Assistant Secretary-General of the Arab League and Head of the Palestine and Occupied Arab Territories Sector; Dr. Yasmine Moussa, Legal Affairs Advisor at Egypt's Ministry of Foreign Affairs; and Ms. Sahar Al-Jubouri, Head of UNRWA's Representative Office in Cairo. The seminar was attended by 150 young men and women from 80 countries. In his opening remarks, Sherif Gad expressed optimism for the eventual triumph of the Palestinian cause, despite the difficult current conditions. He emphasized that the continuation of Palestinian resistance and the solidarity shown by youth from 80 different nations reaffirm that the Palestinian cause is far from forgotten. 'The Palestinian people will never disappear like the Native Americans,' he stated passionately. Sherif Gad Dr. Saeed Abu Ali stressed the importance of a comprehensive resolution to the conflict, criticizing both the Arab and international response to the crisis. He condemned the delayed international efforts to halt the ongoing atrocities, pointing out that over 137 countries now recognize the State of Palestine. Dr. Yasmine Moussa affirmed Egypt's historical and emotional connection to the Palestinian cause, stating that it has shaped the political awareness of Egyptian youth. She presented a detailed overview of recent developments in the conflict, highlighting numerous humanitarian violations, and emphasized the significance of international law and judicial organizations in addressing these issues. Ms. Sahar Al-Jubouri elaborated on UNRWA's mission, the challenges it faces, and the daily struggles endured by the Palestinian people from the perspective of the agency. She underlined UNRWA's vital role in supporting every Palestinian refugee and pointed to the absence of a unified international definition of terrorism. This ambiguity, she argued, often casts Palestinian resistance in the role of the perpetrator rather than the victim. In conclusion, Sherif Gad extended his gratitude to the Minister of Youth and Sports for organizing the Nasser Fellowship Forum, and to Dr. Hassan El-Ghazaly, Director of the Nasser International Leadership Fellowship, for the outstanding execution and coordination of the event. read more Gold prices rise, 21 Karat at EGP 3685 NATO's Role in Israeli-Palestinian Conflict US Expresses 'Strong Opposition' to New Turkish Military Operation in Syria Shoukry Meets Director-General of FAO Lavrov: confrontation bet. nuclear powers must be avoided News Iran Summons French Ambassador over Foreign Minister Remarks News Aboul Gheit Condemns Israeli Escalation in West Bank News Greek PM: Athens Plays Key Role in Improving Energy Security in Region News One Person Injured in Explosion at Ukrainian Embassy in Madrid News Egypt confirms denial of airspace access to US B-52 bombers News Ayat Khaddoura's Final Video Captures Bombardment of Beit Lahia News Australia Fines Telegram $600,000 Over Terrorism, Child Abuse Content Arts & Culture Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban's $4.7M LA Home Burglarized Sports Former Al Zamalek Player Ibrahim Shika Passes away after Long Battle with Cancer Sports Neymar Announced for Brazil's Preliminary List for 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers News Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly Inaugurates Two Indian Companies Arts & Culture New Archaeological Discovery from 26th Dynasty Uncovered in Karnak Temple Business Fear & Greed Index Plummets to Lowest Level Ever Recorded amid Global Trade War Arts & Culture Zahi Hawass: Claims of Columns Beneath the Pyramid of Khafre Are Lies

Juban district wraps up summer course activities

Dhale' - Saba: Juban district in Dhale' province concluded on Thursday summer course activities. At the closing event, the governorate's General Mobilization Officer, Ahmed al-Marani, commended the success of this year's courses, attributing it to combined official and community efforts. Al-Marrani also praised the students' performance, which he said demonstrated their understanding of "God's guidance" through the various awareness-raising, memorization, recitation, practical, sports, and cultural programs. Al-Marani stated that these activities aim to develop and protect students from "soft warfare" and "destructive ideas," and to correct misconceptions among young people. He emphasized that the "Quran generation" is the hope of the revolution's leader, Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, for Yemen's future, which he believes "frightens enemies." He highlighted the importance of summer courses in raising awareness, educating youth, instilling faith-based identity, promoting values, and developing knowledge and creativity. The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Ali Hadban, lauded the efforts of those involved in creating a generation "armed with knowledge" that can build and educate the nation. He encouraged students to continue seeking knowledge and to strengthen themselves with "Quranic culture," which he said guides them to truth, away from selfishness and "Satan," and from succumbing to personal desires. The closing ceremony, attended by Abdullah Salman, head of the Guidance Sector in the governorate, and the Mobilization Sector in Juban district, along with local and security leaders, saw students express their gratitude to the teachers and contributors to the religious, educational, and scientific activities, including programs focused on the Holy Quran, vocational skills, agriculture, scouting, culture, sports, and social engagement. Pyramids running trail named world's most incredible by National Geographic - Tourism

The Egyptian cabinet celebrated, Sunday, the Pyramids running route claiming the top spot on National Geographic's list of the world's most incredible running trails. Related New entry and transport rules for Pyramids of Giza Plateau meets backlash Based on 100 Runs of a Lifetime by Bart Yasso, the article describes the route as 'unforgettable'—a course that winds through the golden dunes beneath the Great Pyramids of Giza, just 19 kilometres outside Cairo. First mapped for the inaugural Pyramids Half Marathon in 2019, the trail has become a beacon for runners seeking a challenge and a brush with history. The route allows participants to #RaceThroughHistory in the shadow of the last surviving wonder of the ancient world. The Pyramids Half Marathon—officially known as the Marakez Pyramids Half Marathon—is organised annually by The Trifactory, Egypt's leading mass-participation sports events company. Co-founded by Ayman Hakky and Seifeldin Fawzy in 2015, the event is held under the auspices of Egypt's Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities. It has since grown into Egypt's premier running event, drawing thousands of athletes and amateur runners from over 80 countries to the storied Giza Plateau. While the area may seem limited in scope, National Geographic notes that the terrain's shifting sands offer a surprisingly rewarding experience. Runners are advised to keep the pyramids within sight, as the unmarked expanse of desert can quickly obscure one's sense of direction. The Pyramids route is joined on the list of exceptional global runs by the Forêt de la Providence on Réunion Island in the Indian Ocean, the Pouākai Circuit in New Zealand's Egmont National Park, Haleakalā National Park in Maui, Hawaii, and Table Mountain National Park in Cape Town, South Africa. The seventh edition of the Pyramids Half Marathon is scheduled for 13 December, and registration is now open on the event's official website. The recognition comes during a banner period for Egyptian tourism: in 2024, the country welcomed a record 15.7 million visitors, surpassing the previous year's all-time high of 14.9 million.
